me public driving
 

i drove for the first time in public tonight. i almost hit someone, but it was entirely his fault for coming out of nowhere. seriously, i saw two cars go by, and even my dad said to go, but then WAM! some guy comes out of nowhere, so i break calmly, and he keeps going and tries to stare me down. the rest of the way was pretty easy. i guess, obviously, that i just need more practice. i should do a lot better once i get in the drivers training course. i got really nervous and shaky. oOo: my dad told me i did better than my brother, and to me, that is all that matters. go me.

oddly enough the same fucking thing happened to me the first time I drove. it was all clear for 1/8 mile and then all of a sudden a giant suv is right next to me horn blaring.

i haven't starting driving just because i didn't think it was really important at the time. i don't have a job because jobs around here are hard to get when you don't drive. that, and it's hard for someone shy and unmotivated like myself to get one. oOo:

Wtf different these days? I'm 17 and I've been dirving since I was 15, minute I got a job I was driving there.

im 17, no job, no car, with a licence though.

I had a job a full year and a half before I got my license, and I got my license ASAP.

Driver's ed doesn't make you a better driver, driving with your parents in the real world makes you a better driver. Freaking driver's ed told me how to do a "k" turn which is quite possibly the worst and most dangerous driving manuever known to man. In class I learned by our instructor telling us stories about his driving experiences and watching old, hilarious movies. Never had to do any "book work" other than read stuff aloud in class.

Aahh yea, the memories of blood and guts from The Ohio State Patrol. Ever see the one with the two old boys in a '57 Ford, who fall asleep and lose thier heads? Great fun was had by all.

was driving at 4, in drivers ed at 15, liscensed less than a month after turning 16. I had a job a year before my liscense. Now Ive had my liscense about...3 years this month.

The first car I ever drove was a 84 chevette scooter, in a giant field. It was all fun until I decided I wanted to take the car into a horse grave......
