iPod problem

i've had my iPod for months and i never had a problem with it, but for some reason i accidently removed it from my computer without hitting eject, and now it wont read when i connect it. i tried restarting my computer, reattaching it in different USB ports and everything, but nothing will read it. anyone know how to fix this?

Control alt delete, then end the ipod programs(under processes), start itunes up again. usually works

i do it alot by accident, but its always fine once i restart computer. maybe search for the installed device drivers from when you first plugged your ipod in - then remove them.

Hold the center button til it clears your ipod. Then just reinstall the software and put your songs back on it.

Does the ipod show up in My Computer when you connect it? If it does you can copy all of your music off of it then do what I said.

go to http://www.download.com, search for xplay and download that. it is a trial version, but will work for 30 days.

xplay is a program that will enable you to take all the songs off your iPod just like you were in itunes. it keeps the song name, artist, number, and anything else you had. and it is organized into artist folders. it will help you alot in this situation.

This kind of happened to me a few weeks ago. For whatever reason, I used the firewire cable in the wall to charge it up and then used the firewire cable in my pc and it worked.

make sure the hold switch is off and press and hold the Menu and Select buttons until the Apple logo appears, about 6 to 10 seconds
