Political views?

Probably been done before, but I'm curious...
With alot of you military wackos and borderline racists/hate of minorities, I'd guess this place is overwhelmingly conservative.

Liberal here, naturally.

i would definately think most of the forum leans left of center rather than to the right.

dr nein 05-18-2005 10:40 PM

I honestly don't care. People go all crazy with this "OMFG WE HAVE A CHOICE!!!" and act like one side is always the good side while the other is evil or wrong or whatever. Just fucking live.

Judas 05-18-2005 11:00 PM

TonyMontana 05-18-2005 11:45 PM

Liberal, and im moving this to the Politics/History area

ninty 05-18-2005 11:56 PM

Liberal/libertarian, although I don't like to be categorized because I can go a few different way on issues. I really don't know what I would necessarily define myself as.

Sgt>Stackem 05-19-2005 12:13 AM

right wing with a dash of liberal (if thats posible)

Bleuachdu 05-19-2005 12:28 AM

Saying "I'm Liberal" or "I'm Conservative" is almost as bad as solely identifying with a single party. It’s literally impossible to share the entire embodiment of your views with one ideology.

Yup, me too....That's the best way to be.

I don't like blanketing my whole political opinion under one label.

Akuma 05-19-2005 05:04 AM

libby...

Stammer 05-19-2005 10:43 AM

I'm not part of a Liberal party, but I consider myself a liberal person.

Trunks 05-19-2005 01:41 PM

id consider myself a progressivist, but Im not sure whether it would be consiered a political standing, as its not really a political party or anything... From the ones in the poll, id go with liberal.

Pyro 05-19-2005 05:00 PM

Well it varies...but id never want a conservative government but i can tolerate a liberal one.

TiberiusAD 05-19-2005 05:01 PM

I agree with the Doc & Blue. How can you classify a given people into set standards?

I don't see a confortable choice in your list outside of other.. Now, not too long ago Noctis posted a chart that showed where you stand on a political circle. I landed just south of Ghandi...lol. But of course it was based on a few questions, some of which were so narrow that they likley forced you into one certain quarter of the circle.

Personally, and as a vet & father I have concerns that may not be relivant to younger adults, but I also see things in a bit of a different light.
I have never voted or based an opinion on the basis of political party...its just to narrow.

I am one of those people who honestly believe there are two sides to a coin...sometimes three! I don't think there is a single solution to any given problem, and we must weight the best action from ALL the different viewpoints and consiquences(sp?) of a given problem to find the best possible solution.

Make sence? So basically, I cannot agree with any set standard of solutions given by these narrow and close-minded classifications.

It is not a hard question people. You can't have both cakes people. IS it so hard to declare yourself as one or the other ? If most of your views (65 %) or more and of a liberal standard, then you are a liberal (moderate) yet liberal, vice versa etc. If you are in between then your in the center. It is easy to classify yourself in any retrospect, take 20 questions, and answer them. Score yourself and see what you are. rolleyes: .

Do you have a percentage quote of every single one of your beliefs? That's silly.

Short Hand 05-21-2005 06:33 AM

No need for me to do the math, I can overwhelmingly notice (without doing any math) that I am pretty liberal. It is not that hard. If you can't see which you are..... maybe you do not know yourself as well as you thought.

That's dumb. You can see yourself liberal probably because you split that way on all or the majority of social issues...Not everyone is like that.

I myself am pretty divided....and if a new issue revealed itself in the future, I might not take a liberal stance on it....but If I call myself a "liberal," people would assume that I would take that liberal stance, where I could just as easily take a conservative view of it.

That's why a bunch of us have trouble labeling ourselves one way, when there is a decent chance we could go either way, depending on the individual issue.

Merlin122 05-21-2005 04:40 PM

swingin' libertarian
