Animation
 

Just wondering wat all u guys think about animated series and movies in general. Imo I cant stand kiddie type animation, but some animated movies are, i believe extrmely underappreciated here in America(Im not gonna speak for any other country as I dont know how it is there). Most people I know at least associate animation with an age range of ?-14, 14 being an extremity.

In Japan for example, people have a different mentaility so there is a good deal more animated movies and series, serious ones... For example, my brother bought this series hed been watching for a while now on dvd, and he asked me to watch it with him, so im like, sure y not. And it was truly a great series. It had great music(japanese but still great) taht tied very well in with the actual episodes, a great story, and overall great characters.

I compare it to movies like saving private ryan, band of brothers, and black hawk down, and as long as I keep an open mind about it it is easy for me to acknowledge that it outdoes all of these, IMHO. It is a cinematic masterpiece, and after I saw the entire thing, I was literally wowed. Sure it wasnt perfect but overall, I am literally speachless.

So basically, that was a lot of rambling but wat do you guys think of animation in general? I reccomend u guys look into some serious animation, im sure the series that i am speaking of is not the only great one out there.

I like some of it, Ghost in a Shell, Cowboy Bebop, but most is crap. Milk-Chen bites donkey-balls.

A good anime series i like is Full Metal Alchemist. Ghost in the Shell is awesome. But my favorite over them all is Ninja Ressurrection.
Ninja Scroll is pretty good too.

Elfen Lied = greatest anime ever
Gore, naked chicks, fucked-up-ness and cuteness at the same time...


Gantz is even more fucked up than Elfen Lied but I don't like it as much.


Then of course there is Hellsing. If you like that you'll probably also like Trinity Blood (kind of a cross between Hellsing and Trigun).

i heard Ghost in a Shell is awesome as hell, but i havent seen it yet. Berserk is awesome, its on manga and one season is on DVD. Ninja Scroll is another one.

i used to have all episodes of hellsing, it was good but not impressing. walter and the regenerator was badass though

the only good "anime" movie ive seen is Akira or somthing, it was pretty cool

agreed. akira has been the best anime film ive seen. following behind are princess monokoe and spirited away. the cowboy bebop series was really good, and i used to watch robotech when i was younger. right now im trying to find a copy of ghost in the schell beer: .
