We had one of these a bunch of months back...
Im not all too original a forum-thread-maker, but I was getting kinda curious, cause Im itching for a new game, and really dont find anything all too appealing (SP?) from the newest released games.

Oh, yeah, post screenies, too.

Well, I started playing Madden '04, which I got free with my videocard, and played that for around a week before I left for Mexico, leading the 49r's with a fabulous score of 2-8 during the preseason, but it got a little boring after I kept losing, and plus, not having a gamepad, I kinda felt like a loser just presing "WASD" over and over again, with a Q here and there. If I ever pick up a game-pad, I'll reinstall it.

So then I went through my stack of magazine demo CD's in a shoebox in my closet, and decided to install the Evil Genius demo that was on one of them. I think I might get it - I never thought base-building would be so fun, but it turned out to be, as I built interrogation rooms, captured spies (Chan!) and all that stuff. If theres nothing else any better, I'll pick up a copy.

Oh yeah, and finished the game Vietcong last night. Worst game I've ever bought.

How about you guys? Screenies are a plus...anyone here have Freedom Force? Im kinda thinking about that, too..

Vietcong was dull, there was hardly ever a highlight, and it kept repeating itself after the 278th jungle crawl in search of bright muzzle flashes. Plus, I hated the fact that before every mission you spent atleast ten minutes LOOKING for the enemy, and when you finally found him, you wasted them in less than 30 seconds, unless they were hidden, which then they would fire at you from 500 meters away and kill you in an instant, forcing you to replay the entire mission all over again, plus the pathfinding. And the tunnel rat missions... cuss:

Did you have the uncensored version? It's so much better than the US. So much racial slurs and cursing, made MP so much fun.

cod: UO, Joint Operations Typhoon Rising, Was playing NBA street Vol 2 on gamecube. Im sort of in a video game phunk right now. Nothing is holding my interest.

No, mine was rated Teen, but from what I saw, I was pretty amazed by that, as "Shit" was spoken too many times to count. But while in combat, the squaddies didnt cuss - only the Power Ranger slogans, like "Rock and roll!" and "You die, VC!"

hl2CTF, hidden and dangerous 2 sabre squadron, sven co-op and rome total war.

Only really play americasarmy now. BF2 is in the post so i'll be playing that when it arrives

Oooh, ooh, hows that? I played the demo and loved it ( the one in Winter with the giant elephants ) but the whole conquest thing kinda turns me off..then it looks like Civilization, which bores me to death.

its got its own kinda setup your own battle kinda thing and there are a line of historical battles so i never play the campaign. Get the S.P.Q.R mod to make the units look less gay (thanks ferich).

physics is challenging as fuck in my opinion. It's easy now in review, but when you're going through it, it sounds difficult.

I'm seriously really into this, i don't know why. Probably because there are so many things out there that I was never taught but the answers are out there.

Currently? I'm playing GTA:SA, and a sweet little beach-head game called Operation: Blockade. Pretty fun if you're bored.

I play GTA:SA a few times a week, I lost interest in most gaming after finishing COD. GTA:SA is just fun to mess around with, I doubt I'll ever actually finish it...

You just all of a sudden...lost interest?

I mean, I guess that can happen, my parents are noticing Im getting a little more into sports and stepping out of my little geek-world, as Im now saving for a surfboard (Even though I live in Colorado) to take along when we go to Mexico, which should be once a year. I dont think I'll ever totally lose interest, though - its just stuck with me for too long. But as I get older, I guess, and less of a total geek (Not D&D geekoid who carries along stat books with them, more of a FPS freak) I'll slowly lose interest...well, I dunno, maybe it'll all change when I lose my virginity.

Play an mmo then look at your time ingame; it is a huge self realization. I quit all of the sudden after that.

Thats the reason I avoid the games, even the ones like Guild Wars. Not only do I not have the money to pay for it monthly (Well, I do, just doesnt seem worth it)... I KNOW I'll be addicted, and can say so long to my developing six-pack and my hardened man boobs, which I can proudly flex to a steely stone.

MOHAA a few times a month (im mapping my house), along with Halo 2 on Xbox Live occasionally. havent got the new maps yet (not sure if i will)

I played guild wars fairly often (a couple of times a week), but I lost interest in it a month ago as my brother gained interest in it eek:

Not really all of a sudden, over time it happened. I only played when I had nothing better to do, at college there was almost always something better to do, now that I'm back home alot of my friends have apartments that I find myself at alot.

Haven't played a game in ages.

Sold the Xbox, SA got boring and I got bored of WWII games. That and the majority of my money is going towards paintball lately.
