2:24am and stopped to think for a second. Groundforce1.com is a pretty cool place.

The offtopic section is totally awesome. You have such a diverse group of people that post. This is the only place that I know of that I can read a thread about a kangaroo knife-fight and two threads down discuss music. The stickies are pretty cool. The girly thread (good ol' scooter...he won't say anything because he won't even read this thread), the music thread, the desktop thread, and the photo album thread are pretty cool.

The art section is pretty cool. To see people's talents go to work is an awesome thing. My only complaint is that more of you guys should open up your talent to making things other than just sigs. There are so many cool designs that I've seen that would be awesome backgrounds or just cool looking pictures. Good job fellas.

The political forum is fun to view on occasion. Sifting through the junk may be a pain in the butt, but it's interesting to see different point of views on the various topics at hand.

The clan recruiting forum--must anything be said about this? I think not
biggrin: If you don't travel over there once in a while, I suggest doing so. It can get quite entertaining.

Everything that I want it here; from tracking down new and exciting music groups to flaming the 101st Airborne Division clan that is recruiting. I've spent alot of time here. Does that make me a nerd? Maybe. Maybe not. close to 8000 posts...ok it makes me a nerd I guess. But that's besides the point.

I guess I just wanted to say that I've been enjoying my time that I've been posting on these forums.

To me the sites went downhill a shitload in recent times, back when allied assault the site was a ton more interesting, now its really just random bullshit central. Honestly the only reason i come here at all is force of habit, seems weird turning on my pc and not typing groundforce1.com into IE.

Far too many angsty little fucks on the site, along with people that seem to post like they have something to prove in every post, plus the little "cliques" that seem to have their noses up each others ass when one of their buddies get involved in an argument with someone. The site was a ton more fun before all this crap. Even the quality of the posters was far better back in 2001, now its just oOo: central. Laugh with the group that laughs or get labelled as "weird". annoy:

yeah gerv, i do have to agree that it was betterl 3 years ago. I still think think the randomness of the forum attracts me more than anything.

Problem for me is a forum without a purpose seems pointless, its not really all that random i mean it is offtopic its meant to be random. Just seems to be a really pointless nature to the site now that allied assault was released and ended up being fucked over by ea, then pacific assault was released, got once patch and got shit on after that. I dunno its just a weird feeling, i should be used to it after all its been that way long enough, just wish some of the older guys had stuck around the place. loney:

Hahaha, that's the exact same with me. It's just a habbit to type it in. AA.com use to be the first place I would go to, now it's the last if that. For awhile I just stopped posting because it got so oOo: . I don't think it has gotten much better either. But hey, if you enjoy it, more power to you.

I agree, generally. I like the random bullshittiness of this forum. Most forums that are totally dedicated to one topic are just geeky and sad. This one, like trippar said, is a dudely place for dudely dudes like us to discuss dudely things. GF1 as been a fun experience for me. I laugh more here than anywhere else.

I think this forum would be 24.78 times better with the old aa.com theme.

i enjoy this forum, and like most everyone else said, it's the only forum i go to on a reg. basis

I go here because Im addicted to it. It just doesnt seem, like someone else said, natural to go to any other sites, besides the ones I usually go to.

I really go here because Im lonely. ... the only people I have to talk to are my parents, and all my friends live 10 miles away since I moved...but when I start school again, and have a life beyond staying home all day while baby-sitting the sisters, I'll probably come here less often.

While you guy's were here at AlliedAssault, I was really bugging out at the PlanetMedalofHonor.com forums, while they lasted. I visited AA.com occasionally, but just to get some mods.
