I've shot my father in law's .44 magnum and it doesn't have much of kick since the gun is so god damn heavy.

Yup. I shot my dad's .44 and like you said the weight of it helps, the long barrel probably helps cut down on quite a bit of it as well.

a 357 or 357 mag, cuz they are both loud but the mag, to me, has noticable more kick
