Power Tab
 

Dont know how many of you guys player guitar here but Ive never seen this posted here. I play guitar and look for tabs online all the time. I use a program me and my friend send tabs back and forth to each other so we can practice our songs/other bands songs etc. Its called Power Tab. dont know if anybody uses it, great program. Here is a site that you can download a tab for that program, most of the people have them almost 100% correct, heres the site http://www.powertabs.net/

yea, i've been using Power Tabs for like 2 years now, its great. and free.

Yeah Ive had the program for a while, but Ive never known about the site which is great Ive been download left and right.

is half the time wrong, power tabs actually plays it for you or you play along and they get theres most of the time from the books.

I usually never play other peoples music. I've been playing guitar about 7 years and the thrill of learning other peoples songs is long gone.

I usally find that people who say that cant play other peoples songs. i been playing longer than you been alive and still love to learn a good song. started in 87 you do the math.

Think what you will Founding_LAw but I find little fun playing other peoples stuff. Its not that i can't (nice assumption), its just that its has already been done. Why reinvent the wheel? I'd rather sit around and create my own stuff and just learn something new rather than do what someone else did best. Ok, now its time to lower myself to your level. I started playing guitar a little over a year ago. Im still learning, and am using a cheapy acoustic Hondo (which was used as an ashtray by the previous owner), but I'm learning..and someday....I will...become....

who says i cant write my own stuff. i was in an original band for 6 years. and a cover band for 6 years. covers are fun, and you can play better bars too. believe me i could school your ass on guitar.

You learn lots of technique from learning other peoples music. you think all the greats didn't learn covers, your a moron if you do. in fact most bands started out as cover bands.

ps:try lowering you hand on the neck for easier chord playing, and you wont need a hammer to break your hand.
