DESIGN WARS: GIG POSTERS
 

The old one was canned with Stammer's ok so I will start up a new one. The theme is Gig posters. The basics of a gig poster and how they should be judged are as follows:

-Show artistic qualities
-A theme (usually doesn't tell anything about the bands)
-Don't use pictures of the actual band members
-Eye Catching
-Legible
-Date of the show
-Poster size/shape
-For this DW we also won't use actual bands but use your forum name as the main band (opening bands can be added also)

Just a reminder guys that when you create these you should remind yourself would they actually look right as a poster? Most of these are printed on silk screen presses so too many colors does not always work. Also keep to a poster size format.

Tripper, Wilko, Dreadhead, and Bullit's are probably the most close to life due to the fact they aren't overly complex. Imagine you are printing out hundred's of these to plaster to phone pulls and subway station walls. There is no way you are going to spend tons of money on ink when you are a struggling band. They also have a good shape.
