I went to Canada with my best friend of nearly 6 years. She has been there for me for almost everything and now we are breaking up. We have been friends under the condition of us always being friends and nothing more. I had a crush on her in HS and she is still very sweet. We had a great time in Canada and the night we got back we chatted for a while and left eachother with a big hug. The next night I made the mistake of telling her on aim that i was in love with her. She is totally freaking out and now she doesnt want to be friends anymore because she cant handle it. The thing is, i meant it at the time, but I want us to remain friends. i told her that because i wanted to get it out of my system and move on. She is avoiding all my calls and my texts. She said that she is coming over tomorrow to pick up some of her stuff and thats it, we're finished. This is a real shock to me, just 24 hours ago, we were best buds. I dont know what to do, any suggestions? please, only serious ones. On the last day of our trip, we got into an argument because she kept us off of our schedule and i made us leave san francisco so that we could go home. i had work the next day and so i didnt want to have 2 hours of sleep before i get up. i know this made an impact on her decision making process to end our friendship, but i think it is a dumb thing to end a 6 yrear friendship over. I have a bad feeling that nothing is going to help. She is intent on breaking us up and if i try to talk to her about it, shes just gonna yell at me and drive away. what should i do? im fucked.

^yeah thats her, shes the one who sold the jacket i bought for her. I blew her off for a month or two but we reconciled and so here we are...

and Ranger, that girl and i split up last year cause she wanted to stay with sony and i wasnt. she moved down there and we kinda lost communication. it wasnt a total in love with relationship, we were mostly friends with benefits. we kept in contact for a little bit after she left, but not anymore, we've both moved on. that really didnt hurt cause we just went our seperate ways.

this situation is different. she is completely overreacting and is cutting me off because i disrupted her little life and the order she has her friends in. if someone disrupts her world, her only way to deal with it is to let them go. her loss i guess, but the thing that makes me so mad is that i know she is being irrational and she doesnt fully understand the situation. she is making an unimformed decision and i cant seem to get her to understand. she wont listen and she wont toy with any alternate idea she has. i cant believe we are ending like this, it is so retarded, but shes supposed to come over and pick up her stuff and thats supposed to be the last time we talk or see eachother. this is the most uncomfortable and weirdest appointment i have ever had to make...how does anyone get ready for this? i would much rather have her give me real reasons as to why she doesnt like me, but instead all i get are half truths and one sided speculation on her take on this situation. i want to do some last minute fixing, but i do have some amount of pride in me and i do not want to beg her to be my friend.

My last girlfriend was a total money drain, whenever we went out she kept ordering the most expensive shit and so on...When we broke up, she said I don't meet her needs financially...I was about to burst out saying "FUCK YOU WHOR YOU DRAIN ALL OF MY $$" but calmly said "It's okay, you don't meet my needs sexually"...ohhh that pissed her off soooo much.

This is also why I am single and probably will stay single (sex yes, commitment no).

I'd have all her stuff packed for her at the door. When she comes over, i'd say "Your shit is right there" as i'm pointing to her belongings. Then i'd say "I just want to thank you. Thank you for not wasting anymore than the 6yrs you already did on this fake friendship. Please hurry because your replacement will be here shortly"

......and that is it. I may help her by using my foot to slide her shit out side the door, then i'd go inside and flick on the TV and watch spongebob or something.

Yeah, that works. When I broke up with this chick, I didn't talk to her for a week afterwards, and she always called me up and wanted to hang out and stay "friends." She always said "I love you" when we hung out afterwards, up until when I said I didn't mean it when i said it, then she fucked off and was a huge bitch at work (still is), but I don't really care, it was really just for sex...

All things considered, I wouldn't want to be in a relationship with someone that acts like that. Put her shit by the curb and watch sportscenter.
