Poseidon 08-15-2005 11:22 AM

no sorry i dont like it

images should focus on the source pic, not be filter focused.

Stammer 08-15-2005 11:23 AM

Emboss is ugly, keep trying though and don't let one effect dominate your entire sig.

Jakke 08-15-2005 06:14 PM

you suck

Keep experimenting, dude. That's not a particularly good effect, but if you kust keep messing around with different ones, you'll get the hang of it rock:

Forte 08-15-2005 10:15 PM

not bad for your first. still if you are going to do a sig based off of filters try to vary the filters up some. use a combination instead of just one.

Is this 1CAV a Moh:AA clan? I was in 1CAV many ages ago but then again every military branch/division/section has been made into a clan 10 times over.

ps it sucks

Wilko 08-17-2005 01:39 AM

We were Soldiers?

dont go too crazy with filters, if you use them just to use them then you get pictures looking like that one. Only use filters if there is a desired look you want to get from one of them(don't just go down the filter list trying to find something that you haven't used), and I wouldn't recommend using too many different filters on one image.

Forte 08-18-2005 08:38 AM

its still better than my first sig(s). +4 to anyone who can find them all.

Jimmy Paterson 08-18-2005 01:27 PM

well thanks for some of the positive feedback, plus I dont have Photoshop...im using something called photoimpressions

the text is a no. get a cursive text and try to match it to the backround. make it there but not noticable until you take a closer look.

By a country mile. Still a bit large IMO, but we're definitely making progress rock:

Jimmy Paterson 08-19-2005 05:22 PM

thanks, but when I resize it it always trys to square it for some reason and im not sure why...so I have to work on that

Ditch the blurry border, add a 1 point single colour stroke border - Like black, or the second most dominant colour in the sig. I'd also be inclined to sharpen the image slightly - But its hard to guess if that would make it look better or worse....It'd be worth a try though.

You're getting there - Keep it up because I love you.

As a rule, i generally make mine 400x120. Anything more than that looks a touch gaudy for me.
