Motley Crue
Well i just came back from my first concert, and damn was it a good one. I went to see Motley Crue up at the Verizon Wireless arena in Manchester, NH. The guys were incredible. I have to agree they are one of the loudest bands out there, my ears are still ringing for 2 hours since i left.
The bands that opened for them were Silvertide, The Exies and Sum 41. They pretty much sucked ecept for Sum 41 I thought they might have lost some of their touch due to just being old, but i was dead wrong. Even Mick Mars was playing, who looks like hes dead every time i see him. Anyone else see Crue playing elsewhere? Or back in their prime? |
what about tommy lee?
|
All the original members were there. He was pretty good, they hooked him up to these wires and were flying him around to these 2 drum sets that were suspended from the ceiling. Then he was walking around with a video camera filming all the girls who were flashing him, funny stuff. There really wasnt a dull moment at all, hell of a show.
|
I've always loved the Crue. They were really the first hard rock act I started listening to as a pup.
"Shout at the Devil" was a heavy record for a 10 year old Zoner. I always had to listen to it on headphones so my mom would hear me listening to "Bastard"...heh heh. rock: |
i was there last night aswell 2nd row floor bitch it ruled. the asshole next to me got tommys drum stick i was rip shit, but he was bigger than me so i didnt say anything to him. plus my ears are still fucked up from being so close.i saw them back in march when they played in boston, ma. both were great shows.

My 1st concert was also Motley crue, they opened up for Ozzy's bark at the moon tour. It was when shout at the devil came out. 1984 I think.
|
I went to that show, too. oOo:
Motley Crue FUCKING OWNED!!! The chicks running around the stage naked were awesome... All the shit they do is so awesome - The breakage of the bass, the choppers coming out, the fun little shit (IE: Tittie Cam \m/) they do, all that shit makes the show so fucking much better! The opening bands were decent except for Silvertide, I think that singer needs to STFU!!! "Whoever has acid, come find me after the show" WTFZTFU11!! I picked up a couple shirts, as well... One was the yellowishy one with the midget and tourdates on the back, and the other is a white shirt with the Crue and 'Motley Crue' in red, they both fucking rox... I also got a dollar signed by the Exies. I stayed right across the street (Radisson) so at like 6-ish we walked across the street to the show. Best show I've ever been to! PS... Where were you seated? I was Section 123, row A, seat 3. That's like... At the other end of the arena, in the corner section, first row before the floor. |

I got that came shirt. I was in section 125, row P seat 5. Hell i probably saw you there and didnt even realize. I thought the seats were going to blow, but that arena was pretty small, so unless you were sitting in the upper section, there really werent any bad seats. I loved the tittie cam beer: My ears are still ringing, how about you? lol |
Never really liked them.

My ears are fine now, but they were ringing that whole night. We probably saw eachother, since we were 2 sections away. I'm just curious, did you stay for the VERY last song? Or did you leave when like 50% of the other people left? |
I think i left after sixx threw his bass in the air, then it landed the the place fucking exploded. I think i left right after that, but then when i was walking out i hear them starting to play again but didnt go back in.

Awwww, they came back out and did another song. You should've stayed. |

That's deffinatly not the same setlist as the one I saw... They only did one song for the encore. Girls Girls Girls was played a bit earlier... Probably 6th or 7th song. They didn't play livewire. And they played Red Hot for us. There's more, I'm just showing how there was a difference. |
They did Red Hot?? Sweet!! That's one of my fave Crue tunes. rock:

I watched Tommy Lee and Vince Neil last night too. They were banging bam anderson and janine lindemulder.

They played live wire, right after Shout at the Devil, which was what they opened with.
The list that Zone put up is pretty much the same, except its backward. Like start at the bottom and work up. |
the crue are coming to Tweeter Center in Tinley Park, IL, hopefully i will have time to go.

My mom and her friend saw them in Boston, too. They had 3 bands opening up for them in NH, so they had to cut down a bit. They still played a good 2 hours or so. |
Yeah, some of the songs they played i didnt know very well, so it took me almost the entire song to figure out what the hell the song was it was so damn loud.
I do remember them playing livewire, there were still a couple songs i didnt knw what they were. |

They played alot of their older stuff, which I didn't recognize all that well, but a few of em I did, and I liked it. eek: |
