Guys, I was just wondering if there is any way possible we can be serious in this thread? I have a few things on my mind and I know im not the most liked person in these forums...but was wondering...can we talk about something right quick? I would appreciate it very much.


I just saw the trailer of Exorcism of Emily Rose on Tv. I am personally a Christian. I usually do not get disturbed by these kinds of things...but for some reason it hit me this time. I didn't want to be the "wuss" and turn away from the trailer, so I forced myself to watch it. Bad idea. Now, I find myself very afraid of these kinds of things. I know Exorcism is real, Deamons are real, Things like spirits etc are real. Wether or not you believe that is your opinion...this is mine. I know it sounds very wussy...but in all honesty when I walk down my hall at night with lights off..I get very affraid and I dont quite know how to react to these things. I just was wondering your guys thoughts on this subject...and ways of dealing with this stuff. Once it gets in your head...the images, videos, and sounds dont leave. I did talk to a close friend of mine and, he is a VERY hard person...cold sometimes, and just really the last person I thought to recieve this answer from: [code:e751f]well i think of it like this

My personal opinion on exorcisms and possessings? It was the "GTA and Violent Video games" that kids could blame for when they did something bad, but this was back when everyone was afraid of Religion.

I hear ya...but on the kinds of things Im talking about...has nothing to do with actions. Its simply...being possesed and not being able to function etc...I dunno. If you had ever seen a documentation of an Exorcism...then you will know that its not something you can just up and blame. Infact...Emily Rose died during her Exorcism...0.o So...

I went and watched the trailer, pretty freaky.

I think it's all in your mind. You believe in this stuff, so you believe it can happen to you, and it's manifesting your fears. You just have to let it go, watch a comedy or something to get your mind off it.

LoL thats cos the adds finds certain words in the thread such as the title and displays an ad relating to it.

And on topic I havent seen the trailer but it sounds like it has been "dramatically" enhanced to appeal to ppl who have an underlying fear of this kinda stuff

I used to be like that before I found out about the internet. Is sad, my dad was gay and did not want to get a computer, till like 1999. I remember that in 2000 was like the first time time I went online cause even though in 99 we got a comp, we did not get internet till 00' - I'm sad and glad cause I did not have to worry about dial up. Well the point is that after all the stuff I seen on the internet and using kazaa and bearshare and what not and playing all my stupid games like resident evil (that really scared the shit out of me at night) and mohaa, and the blood packs, well it really fucks you up ... but after a year or so you are demoralized from anything and you won't flinch when the guy next to you gets his head blown off.

I don't derail threads, I just say my opinion on the topic, which when it deals with religion, I am flabergasted to find out how so many fucking people in the world can be manipulated by something they can't even remotly prove.

I like coleman, I wish more religious freaks were like him...but Ive seen too many so consumed by their fucking religion that they'd govern their entire life by it, and with that I don't agree.
