on another note, my friend has the EXACT same looking dog and his name is spike too. hes a fucking annoying pest. but im sure your dog is cool biggrin:

My dog is 11 years old..he only has a few years left. Hes been with me through thick and thin.

[After I discovered this cat we had but wasn't really ours in the first place (lived on the roof when we moved in), hung itself by getting its head caught in a tight window space. It was either trying to get in and slipped, or my dog ran after it and caused the cat to lose it's "aim".]

I cried like a girl when we had to put my dog to sleep. Funny cause one day she was fine, than within 3 days cancer had taken over her entire insides. They did a last moment surgery on her but it didnt fix it, so we got to bring her hoome that night so she can spend her last night with us, than we brought her to the vet and had her put to sleep, i was in the room when they did it just because i wanted her to see me (and the rest of my family) before she went. And let me tell you something i cried when he injected her, my sister ran outside and threw up, funny thing is, dogs eyes dont close when they die, so we thought it didnt work....Longest car ride of my life holding her dead body in my lap on the way home to bury her, what made it worse, was she died on a tuesday, and wouldnt you know it "Tuesdays gone" by Skynard was playing on the way home, now everytime i hear that song i get misty. RIP loney:

Infact, im gonna play that song now.

Seriosuly never tell a story like that man... I nearly shed a tear myself...

I feel worse when I lose a cat though because I just like em better, but I was sad also when I lost my first dog.

Thanks for the words, were not sure what killed him the vet did an X-Ray of his body and didn't find anything but beleives that he had a tumor on his lower spinal cord. For a couple of days he couldn't wag his tail anymore or even move around with his back legs. It was horrible to watch. The vet said the same day he died when we took him there that it was some common aliment with sand in the inner ear and what not and she said he would be fine in a few days, he died 3 hours after that visit. I've had that dog for eight years we got him when one of my dads co workers found him on the side of the road so my dad took him and we found out he was horribley abused and had ton of worms in him, so we fixed him up and he lived a fat happy life until yesterday. I cried like a baby for awhile yesterday but was comforted by the fact that spike wasn't 8 yeats old like we though he was, he was atleast 12 so know we know he lived alot longer then we though, which also goes to show how badly beaten he was becuase he growth was stunted.

At the moment we've got a Golden Retriever. Can't imagine what it'll be like when she goes. She's the soul of the family freak:

In the last 7years, Ive cried for only about 5 reasons, breaking my arm, family member dieing, a crazy mental break down, and when my dog died. I remember exactly when I got the news.
I was sitting in music class and the phone rang, somehow I knew it was for me. The teacher told me to go to the office I was going home. I remember mumbling "my dog died" then I got to the car, and mom was in tears.
I feel for ya man,
