the german from mohaa/cod, even though i dont think im saying it right.

what is ''sniper'' in german anyway? allamen formets!

duncey 09-07-2005 06:54 PM

If you go to Germany and use Ich, and pronouce it ICK, then you're basically flashing a fucking banner over your head that your american. It's hard to explain it in text.

You know the 'h' sound in humongous? Use that hard 'h' sound... So it's like... Ihhh, almost.

That was all that I learned so far.

"Hurry"

I took German last year, will take German this year, and probably will all through highschool, considering it's a trades-language useful in most of Europe.

newt. 09-07-2005 07:10 PM

faster.

yea took german for 2 years, sucked, take spanish.

dr nein 09-07-2005 07:12 PM

Spanish is overrated.

Jin-Roh 09-07-2005 07:59 PM

German > *

I know more German than a student that knows some Spanish from three years of classes.

dr nein 09-07-2005 08:15 PM

I'd rather go to Germany than any Spanish speaking country.

Enjoy being kidnapped for a couple million dollars ransom.

NexusRevived 09-07-2005 08:22 PM

i usually yell at people with with giberish, but in barking form and they think im speaking german

9mm BeRetTa 09-07-2005 08:59 PM

I completed like 3 1/2 years of German. In HS I was going to take German 4 but the teacher was terrible and like 10/22 kids dropped out...

German was a fun language for a while. I can sort of hold a convo and pick up on some german in movies.

Pyro 09-07-2005 09:01 PM

German > spanish

Crazy Canadian 09-07-2005 09:08 PM

i'm taking my second year of german, but i don't remember shit

Doctor Duffy 09-07-2005 09:29 PM

Spanish > German

So much more useful, and will really help me when I take my yearly trip down to Mexicoke. And atleast Spanish sounds nice - German is nothing but a bunch of K's, R's, and D's. SAURKRAUT!!!

elstatec 09-07-2005 09:40 PM

i took german for 6-7 years.

though ive lost alot of my writing skills i can speak to quite a high level.

Ahh Spanish is a romance language. It evolved from Latin. I wouldn't consider Spanish lazy, it just sounds better, its more eloquent. Problem is people hear the Spanish from poor people that come from Latin America, which they speak a broken "ghetto" version of it. Much like some blacks speak English, all ghetto like.

WHATEVER, point is it's not the proper way one should speak it. Makes one sound uneducated.

dr nein 09-08-2005 12:03 AM

Nothing uneducated about the millions of illegal Mexican immigrants in California that can't even speak English

Wrongness. Ich is pronounced "ish" in northern germany, and the "ch" gets harder the farther south you go. In Bavaria, it is pronounced "ick"

Actually German is the third most taught foreign language worldwide oOo:

It is spoken primarily in:
Germany,
Austria,
Liechtenstein,
Luxembourg,

Parts of:
two-thirds of Switzerland,
two-thirds of South Tyrol province of Italy
in the small East Cantons of Belgium,
Denmark.
Romania,
the Czech Republic,
Hungary, and above all Russia, Kazakhstan and Poland,

German is the main language of about 100 million people in Europe (as of 2004), or 13.3% of all Europeans.
