If it had been just a straight port over (as it was originally intended to be) then it probably woulda been free. But the games been completly overhauled, basically a totally new game for $20. Hardly breaking the bank by anyones standards.

Just checked the steam gcf files 4 maps with this on release, donner, avalanche, flash and anzio.

even if you got the hl2 package that included it you have to pay an additional 20 bucks?
