I can't find any ACCEPTABLE car AROUND HERE for around $5K. It's fucking bullshit. I've looked just about every where. Now, my dad plans on giving me a shitty Saturn. Saturns are pieces of shit. I am not taking it.

was ur dad gonna dish out those 5k? if not, u can always accept the saturn, sell it and use the dough from there along with the 5k to get something better.

He was going to give out the $5K. He is going to give me the Saturn for some price probably [less than 5k, since it's a car from one of his jobsites]. Either way, I am not going to accept the Saturn. I'd rather walk anywhere/everywhere. I am saying he needs to raise the price for a better selection, not just for the quality/features of the car itself. Just so I have a better selection. eek:

sure i had greatmemories in my car but in a year or two you realise why it is a poor gm car. you hear so many noises, things get loose and the interior is so bland. not to mention the engine, might as well get a bike!!i thought your budget was higher?

That has got to be the most ungrateful thing you have ever said on this board. You're telling me that Daddy is plunking down his own cash to purchase you your 1st car and you're upset it's gonna be a Saturn? Well, you should be glad you didn't grow up in my house. I'm having to buy my own car. My parents arnt rich enough to buy me a car. Heres you talking about how your dads practically giving you a car and your being ungrateful about it!. A car > No car, doesnt matter what it is!

You could accept it and buy a better one in a year or so.

It has nothing to do with being ungrateful. It has to do with how my dad is making the wrong move. I'd take the saturn if would last for at least 3 years. I know it isn't because Saturns are pieces of shit.

Like I said, Shorthand. There isn't anything available around the area. Even Cavaliers at that price.

I would get a job, but there's distance between my home and places to work. Not only that, but I have school.

One of my main priorities in choosing a car i how long it will last. I want something that will last me for a long time [4+ years]. Since I don't really plan on buying anything new for a while. That's where I'm getting at, I want something that will last for a long time. Not a piece of shit saturn that is probably already about to die, rather than be somewhat new and last a few years.

Stop being a little bitch. I would love to have had a car given to me but no, I worked my ass off to get enough to buy my first car and have done everything to it on my own time with my own money. I would die for a new Saturn. So what it’s not cool? The thing will take you anywhere and for little gas. Treat it like it’s your baby and it will last you forever. Iv never heard anything bad about Saturn’s aside from being slow and they had issues with their alternators catching fire way back due to poor ventilation. Don't expect to find any sympathy here.

i listen to music and try not to pass out from gas fumes leaking inside the bus

take a loan out, if you have a regular job. i first ahd a saturn, paid that shit off, was glad to get rid of it and moved up in life to my money pit bimmer. you can always do better than a saturn, they are pretty much the bottom.

Approx. how long have you been looking for a used car? I remember you saying you just got your license, but had you started looking before then?

I started looking for my first vehicle when I got my permit. I was lucky enough to have my car bought for me, (even though I had held a job for a 1 1/2 yrs already) so a week before my license test I made my decision and actually took my test in it.

You can't expect to find the "car you are looking for" in like 2 days.

I've been looking around for a few weeks now.

Anyway... I guess I am being forced to take the Saturn. loney:
