Update on my wifes cousin
http://kdka.com/local/local_story_289165620.html
Site has a few video news stories on him and the family(weird and sad seeing people I know tore up like that on tv. The video of the school story shows a couple of my wifes cousins(jason huggin the girl) and aunts Things are going well for him. He's breathing on his own 60% now and only relying on the respirator 40%. They started the skin grafts and they're going well so far and some of the swelling has actually come down. He's been going in and out of the Coma.. which is a good and bad thing. The doctors/nurses keep finding him sitting straight up in his bed looking around. They've been trying to keep him sedated enough that he won't pull cords or do anything harmful to himself and keep him from freaking out, but they're also letting him slowly slip out of it and grasp what's going on. Yesterday was a big day, they let him out of his coma enough to open his eyes and sit up and his favorite band the Povertyneck Hillibillies went to the Hospital to see him and wish him luck and sing him a few songs, how awesome of them is that!? Today they let him out of the Coma while they were cleaning out his lungs and my Aunt and Uncle were there and they were talking to him (he can't respond just yet, still part of the coma and the fact that they're working on his lungs and such) but he was smiling and trying to move his arms and looking all around. I'm sure that really helped out my aunt/uncle. Heck thinking of it makes me want to cry. So things are really looking up! I guess the Povertyneck Hillbillies are putting on a benefit concert in his name as well so there's a bit of financial aid as well! Still not sure exactly what went on with the hearing Wife wrote all that^ |
Good for him, best of luck.

I saw the other thread but must have missed the first one. What happened that he's in this condition?

thats a nice thing for a band to do, it is really a sad story. This kid will be scarred for life and the dip shit that did it will prob get a few years in jail then come out fine. It aint fair, lets light him up hellfire:
|
They're pulling him out of the Coma tonight, for good.. He'll be alert & responsive! I hope mentally he can handle everything but gosh does it feel good to know that he'll be able to talk to his mom/dad again
They can't to skin grafts for another two weeks because they need to let what they've already done heal... but they think he'll do well out of the coma because he's been getting so much better by the day. They're also pulling him off the respirator because he's breathing 95% on his own now |
Good, im glad to see he is getting better...I hope your next post says the guy who did it gets the electric chair.
|
thats great news nyck. btw, after all the skin graphing, will he still, look ok? i'm a little slow (if its an already known thing) but what happened to the guy who did this?

80% of his body? Jesus, imagine waking up with burns everywhere. Nyck did his face and trunk get burned the most or was it his arms and legs?
|
Quote:
Only parts that werent burned were a little patch with a hair on the top of his forhead, the side of his leg, and his dong.( rock: ) |
Good to hear man! PA doctors are best in the country.
|
Speaking of dong being OK, I believe that penis transplants should be a new fad.
On sale now! Mike Tyson's 14 in. member. Ask about our bleaching program! |
Hey that's good to hear his penis is ok....That's all I'd be worried about.
