EA's version of Source: EA downloader

Today EA games announces a new service that will let you purchase your games online and download them imminently, once they are released. This new service is called EA's downloader, by installing a small 6 meg application you will be able to use this service for new games and game updates/patches.

My site FPSadmin.com will be helping EA promote this new service by offering 10 free copies of BF2:SF.

Head on over to my site for more info and learn how to enter our contest

Show some respect too the O.G. Rudedog. He was helping run this community while you were still shitting in diapers son.

Interesting new promotion. I certainly could use a free copy biggrin:

Hey Rude!!

Respect the dog, fuckers. biggrin:

HeadUp 11-11-2005 08:21 AM

i was talking to one of my texture artists last night about this

ironically, i had just installed hl2 on my comp yesterday...stem sucks a FAT one...

its inevitable that a congolmerate like EA would implement a system like that, and it doesnt appear to function the same way as steam...i guess it wouldnt be tooooooooo bad as long as it isnt as ridiculously slow and obnoxious as steam

i hope other game companies dont try to pull some steam bullshit... wallbash:

elstatec 11-11-2005 08:22 AM

anyone ever use that six-steam program that let you download any game from steam and play it online for free? not so legal but i would be happy if such a program came along for this just to spite EA

SiX-Steam never let you play in VAC/VAC2 servers though.
