Flags of Our Fathers/ Red Sun, Black Sand

Anyone heard of this movie Clint Eastwood is making. Actually its two movies, "Flags of our fathers" which is about the 6 guys who raised the flag on Iwo Jima, and Lamps in the wind which will be released a few months later is about Iwo Jima from the Japs P.O.V. It sounds pretty intresting making two movies through two seperate POVs....Discuss if you will see it and what not.

Looking good. The first should be in a theater near you next year and Lamps Before the Wind is just starting production.

FooF was a good book, written by the same guy who wrote Flyboys, which is an excellent book.

Agreed, I really enjoyed FooF. I thought that the author, even after describing the atrocities performed by the Japanese against captured Marines, was very respectful towards them (IIRC, he even lived there for a while).

Hard to say if this will do well or not, most people got kinda bored of ww2 movies and games a few years ago.

Milla 01-07-2006 02:01 PM

Yes but most were about Europe happy:
