Tell us what you did to the source image.

Sniper101 11-15-2005 12:38 PM

looks like liquify, ink lines and posterize

strvs 11-15-2005 12:56 PM

your face is annoying enough i dont need to see it under every one of your posts

c312 11-15-2005 01:34 PM

first thing I tell everyone about photoshop, DON'T USE ALL THE FILTERS.
Using the filters too much is the most common way for noobs to ruin their images. Filters are fine in moderation and if you used them for the right purposes, not just using them to have done something.

nice one Zoner

I can't see the first one (broken link). The only way to learn is to keep playing with it. (but only post it in here if you have tough skin!) The second one is pretty interesting. I agree with the filter comments so far. Use them sparingly. The same goes for lighting effects. Don't use them unless they contribute to the overall pic. The lens flare in this second pic is distracting. To me, it takes away from the overall effect of the photo. Maybe if it was smaller and not as bright. But remember, a lens flare is the result of light reflecting off of something. If you stick one kinda out in the middle of nowhere it doesn't seem to fit. It's like drawing a table in a picture of a room but using a different perspective. It just makes the table look out of place.

Jakke 11-15-2005 03:29 PM

Jimmy, just quit while you still can

Jimmy Paterson 11-15-2005 03:54 PM

lol atleast you can make out paterson's face, you fat fuck nyck

Zen 11-15-2005 07:36 PM

You'll get there Jimmy boy, don't give up.

Colonel 11-15-2005 11:00 PM

That's not that bad. Filter City for sure though. I kinda like the stylized look, but there is so much going on in the picture that the guy kinda gets lost. Maybe if you toned down the background the image of the guy would jump off the page more.

edit - Also you might try doing some tutorials - they really help you learn all of the capablilities of Photoshop.

Tripper 11-15-2005 11:29 PM

how do I get rid of the white?

Colonel 11-16-2005 06:24 AM

You have to save it as a .gif file and make sure teh transparency box is checked. The drawback is that .gif files are a little rough around the edges.

Jimmy Paterson 11-16-2005 10:49 AM

thank you but I dont see the option for the transperancy box anywhere......

HeadUp 11-16-2005 11:31 AM

when you save it a little dialog box should come up

also, make sure that this image is on top of a separate layer from the background and that the background is invisible and transparent...

that one looks better

go to pslover.com for some good tuts
