Photography
So a few weeks ago I got my Nikon D50 and I have been experimenting around and stuff. I got a 18-55mm lens with it, but since my dad was a professional photographer I use some of his lens. He has this macro lens, its awesome but hard to work with. I put a few stuff on my deviantart.
I know a few of you guys have digital SLR's (like anti). So lets share some pics and stuff and discuss cameras. http://maturo.deviantart.com/gallery/ |

Our AV shop @ campus just got 2 d200's in.... the waiting list to rent them out = 2 months....... I fucking hate the art bastard students.
|
i would say kick them in the teeth but that woudl just give them even more so an excuse to write bad poetry.
|
I should be a bastard and rent out all the good lenses/ little doodads.. even though I have little knowledge on how to use them/ imploy them...
+ i want to rent out the new Sony HDV cam.... loney: |

I have a Sony Cyber-shot Pro DSC-D770 SLR that my aunt gave me for Christmas after she bought a Nikon. This camera takes the worst pictures I have ever seen. My girlfriends $100 camera takes a clearer picture than this thing. Back in 2000 it was an $1800 camera. I took it to a camera shop and they didn't know what was wrong with it. I would do anything for a Nikon D-50. You are one lucky guy. By the way nice pics.

I can't wait til the D200 comes out. After reading the forums on dpreview and seeing some test pics, Nikon did an amazing job tweaking the CCD sensor. There were some 20D owners there and they said the ISO 3200 of the D200 was roughly eqivilent in noise to 1600 on the 20D. Canon's CMOS sensor has always had better noise control at higher ISOs than Nikon so I'm pretty exicted. I'll probably wait til summer then sell my D70 and get the D200 body and the new 18-200 lens and the 50mm f1.8 prime.

Well the new 18-200 is more of a travel jack-of-all-trades-master-of-nothing. Really small and light weight but probably not the best quality, definitely not for only $700.
What kind of pictures are you having problems with? |

I'm just looking for excuses to get a new lens. I love perspectives and landscapes, and my lens right now does those fairly well. |
In San Jose residential area I saw this yellow fire hydrant and right close by was a tree with the same yellow color leaves, all over the tree and all over the ground. Too bad I don't have a camera to take those nice pictars. cry:

I went out today shooting with my dad and his d50, it was fun. I was surprised at the suddle differences, and only having 1 dial was a major piss off. I think any dslr camera should have two, no matter what. It's still a good camera. His wider angled lense felt nicer in some cicumstances. I think we're both going to split on a new 70-300 for xmas. |
Sell your D70 to me coon.
