as a condition of my wife going to see Jarhead I had to go see Rent with her.

and I actually enjoyed it. It is a straight broadway musical put to a film. Alot of catchy songs and a pretty decent plot for being a pure musical.

Anybody else ever seen it Broadway show or otherwise.

i also wanted to see it, my roomates are addicted to the music from it and play it all the time, therefor it has been drilled into my head, but none the less, definately looks likes something worth seeing

yes, that happens to be one of their favorites, btw nyck i ALSO had to make a compromise....well...sorta, my girlfriend wanted to see the new harry potter movie, which btw wasnt too bad, so thats what we saw

its a good song. The original broadway song actually sounds better with a guy singing the lead. A girl sings it in the movie.

Rent looks kinda boring to me, but ive seen musicals. I went to NY last year and saw Chicago. This summer i saw Wicked; thought it was pretty good.
