Good ringtone software
Anyone know any good make your own ringtones software, i refuse to pay for ringtones, plus the tones they give you to DL are all shitty parts of the song.
|
GL verizon phones are a pain in the ass to get tones for.

milla you cunt, dont you have a transfer cable? I just take mp3's cut them down to 15 second clips, upload them to my phone and set those as ringtones rock: rock:
|
my phone = l337.... it comes with a 32mb Sony memory stick pro and a USB reader for the memory stick. Plus, all of the ringtones are MP3s, so I can easily create/edit/upload my own.

My mind has been changed on this topic.
Must...get....mp3 ringtone....phone... I'd put Forged With Hate by Dismember on there. Tune starts with a leet shotgun blast sound. That'd own as a ringtone. *chk-chk-BOOOOM* "Oh, that's the wife callin'." |

I'm not sure what kind of phone you have but check out:
[url:3a538]http://www.bitpim.org/[/url:3a538] I have an older LG but I bought a data cable for it for around $17 and through bitpim I can edit mp3's and pics and upload them to my phone. You can also back up all of your contacts to your pc and actually edit and print them as well. The best part is that bitpim is a free program. |

How so? I've been using it for a year and a half with absolutely no problems. You can back up every bit of data from your phone to your pc. |

I have a Motorola E815, i have a Card reader with a transflash card in my phone (the transflash card plugs into its SD card carrier) so i have put music on my phone, but i cant set them as ringtones, i dunno if its cause they are to long? I dont know how to cut the songs down
|
when you are looking at the music on your phone copy a song, go to the menu and change it to storage device, and put it as phone. now if the song is really small then you can paste it in there. but in my motorola it doesnt let me if its like a fully song cuz it is too big of a file. so just paste it in and it should work as a ringtone. if you need more explaining let me know
|
I need to know how to cut my songs up. Like make them into like 30 second clips so i can transfer them to my phone. I know how to do the switch storage device thing, but it wont let me because i guess the song file is to big?
|
You'll need to:
1. decompress the mp3 back into a wav file 2. open the wav in an audio editing app like Soundforge or Cool Edit 3. chop the shit out of it 4. save the wav 5. recompress the chopped wav to mp3. |
I use Audacity and you can chop mp3 without having to convert back and forth.

just extract the files to a folder and keep them there. you dont actually have to run the program. in audacity once you export a file as mp3 it will tell you to point to the .dll in lame.

did you save the clip as an mp3?
|
I just use goldwave, hack the fook out of an mp3, save it a mp3 and thats it. eek:

nvm i got it, but now i need to get it as a ringtone pn my phone, gg. I need himmler again
I think i might need a data transfer cable to get it to my phone itself and not the card, because it wont set it as a ringtone from the memory card, and i cant transfer it. |
