Resident Evil 4 got named Game of the Year 2005 by the Spike TV Video Game Awards. Nominees were COD2, F.E.A.R., Resident Evil 4, and World of Warcraft.

RE4 was good, but not GOTY...

Yeah I had a feeling some console game was going to win...

Most addicting game should not have been WoW, but Lineage 2...I can't get enough of that game.

Not sure... No game this year was very GOTY worthy.

I'd still put FEAR or B&W2 infront of RE4.



But this is spikeTV who gave last year's award to GTA3.2 Piece Of Shit Honky Edition while there were games like HL2 and even Halo2 that deserved it more.

Exactly, same shit different name, but its one of those "must have" games to plenty of ps2 owning sheep. Talk about a fucking cash cow game, they could release gta lowrider edition and have the only change being 1 new colour of lowrider and people would run out to buy it.

resident evil 4 deserved it, great great game, only thing was that i was like wtf just happened once i completed the game. Shame they cant make another on the current systems as it was really really great and they improved every bit that let the previous titles niggly in parts.

i agree. would be nice to play through a resident evil game that had a good ending.
