My Videos folder access denied
 

i can't access my videos folder. it just says access denied, any ideas?

Might want to right click on it and check the sharing permissions, someone may have made it pvt or something.

nothign weird in the sharing. it happend just after i reformatted

Dunno, try making it private and sticking a password on it then undoing it. Could just be a gimpy windows install or a virus i suppose.

Right click the folder,properties,sharing click make this folder private and put a password on it when prompted.

I take it you're logged into the admin account on the pc? Just sounds like its been passworded or something somehow.

when i reformatted windows started to install it onself on my slave drive for some reason. i stopped it and conitnued on normally. the my videos drive is in my slave drive, do you think the bad install is causing it? am i fucked forever?

Youre only fucked forever if you're laying passed out on the bed with your ass in the air and duffy standing behind you. But yeah sounds like somethings fucked up during the install, reformat pronto.

Don;t even think you can, there is no "uninstall" for windows itself. Probably better of just deleting the windows folder in the slave drive or format over it.

ill just wait until i get my external harddrive, move everything over to it and reformat the slave drive, then move whatever i want back.

is your shit trying to boot from your slave ?

ive had this happen with my external ... somehow the boot files got placed on it during setup. i

not anymore, i removed it from the boot.ini but it's still a pain just having all that extra bs for no real reason.

Computers fucking suck, if something goes wrong it could be 1 in a million problems...literally.
