I want to get a nice digicam, and I came across this, I dont plan on doing any extravagant photograghy with it, just want to it to take simple pictures. and this is around $200 after tax and its 5.0MP

so is this a good deal?

That one's refurbished.

I just got a Nikon 4600 for xmas, from the pics I've taken so far it's great.

anti 01-01-2006 02:53 PM

nikon coolpix series and the canon powershot series are good cameras. megapixel count is always everything, lens manufacturing has a lot to do with it.

trust me, most complaints ive had working with digi cams is Kodaks, the battery door is shite. My kodak just broke and i returned it and got store credit and got a Canon.

Miscguy 01-01-2006 07:41 PM

If the kodak comes with "easy share" software, run 6.2 miles away and find someplace to purchase a cannon, or nikon.

Bucknub 01-01-2006 07:42 PM

wtf is easyshare?

and the canon one says "Refurbished - Online Only" does that mean I only get buy it online?

if so im outta luck.

I know buck, but if your going to spend that much just spend 189 and get that canon A520. The kodak battery doors break, i'm telling you, i hear the most complaints out of Kodaks. The reason older kodaks might be better is because Kodak was bought out by someone, so now they use shite parts.

Kodak sucks, I really regret the day I bought mine. Gonna get a proper cam when I get the ££.

What did i say before? The older Kodaks were nice and built right, But they were bought out by some shit company and now they suck. Plus all the ones that get returned for being busted are Kodaks.

geRV 01-02-2006 12:21 PM

Kodak has not been bought out by anyone.

my housemate has a new kodak and its basically the same just a different build with better megapixels. as far as i see it from my usage and those i know of kodaks are fine for me, heck id like a digi slr but my kodak works pretty damn good and better than alot of my friends nikon digis etc.

and gervs right, kodak were not bought out at all wtf you on about, kodak would be the people buying out other companies.
