Its such an amazing feeling. Steve Slaton is so amazing and I cant believe he didnt play until the 4th game of the season. Big win for WVU and the Big East.

We really surprised Georgia with the spread offence and it took them a while to contain it. Im just glad we could make some big plays.

Zoner 01-03-2006 09:07 AM

I was watching the World Junior Hockey Championships, though.

CoMaToSe 01-03-2006 09:49 AM

Yeah. I think they've got another freshman RB too who's good. Better make sure that O-line are beasts, because WV will want to give those guys as much exposure as possible.

I think it was the fourteen points off of turnovers that killed the Dawgs. Good game. Exciting to watch. Would have been even better if the Dawgs had come back to win! ;)

Great win for WVU. A bowl victory (espically one with a magnitude as great as this one) can do wonders for recruiting and the program as a whole. It also makes the off season 100000x better for us fans. I'm currently enjoying the fallout of Nebraska's bowl victory, now I just need PSU to get smoked for recruiting reasons and all will be well in Husker Nation. biggrin:

This is probably the first time, and hopefully the last, that I've ever rooted for Florida State. Hell I'm still bitter over the 1994 Orange Bowl. mad:

I think that Florida State will beat the living shit out of PSU. I dont think it will even be close in all honesty. I dont think any of the big 10 schools can hang with them.

we'll see though

you freaking kidding me?!

I'm not sure if Derrick Williams will be back (he broke his leg in a game earlier in the season) to play the WR position. He f'ing kicked major ass as a true freshman.

no Im not kidding. I mean who did they really play. the Big 10 is decent but I dont think they can compete with the usc's fsu, miami's etc.

I mean the big 10 is 2-4 this bowl year with Ohio State beating an overrated ND team and Wisconsin beating Auburn.

The game is in Miami, making it basically a Home game for FSU, FSU is used to playing in the heat, something I doubt PSU is used to.

I just don't think it will be close, but thats why they play the game.

it gets in the 90's up here in PA. The thing I'm just worried about is the month of no football games. That's gotta suck trying to bounce right back into the swing of things.

TonyMontana 01-03-2006 03:15 PM

Man this should be a great game. Battle of two of the greatest coaches in NCAA history. You got Joe Pa going up against Bobby Bowden. There's been a lot of goddamn games won and lost between those two coaches.

Sgt. Paine 01-03-2006 03:59 PM

Bowden has more victories, but I heard some analysts trying to down play those victories b/c they "weren't the caliber of wins that Joe Pa had". I don't care...that's a lot of damn wins.

c312 01-03-2006 04:49 PM

ACC is weaker than Big 10.

FSU won't have their leading tackler because he allegedly sexually assaulted a 19 year old girl

I really can't see FSU winning. Their are only two really good teams in the ACC, Miami and VT who only lost to FSU because they played horribly. FSU's offense is going to get mangled by the PSU defense who have the Butkus award winner (Best LB) in Paul Poslusny (sp?) not to mention Dan Connor and the whole D Line. PSU's offense is really good too, and they have much bigger linemen in the Big 10 than the ACC. I see PS steamrolling FSU.

You have to be joking if you think the Big 10 isn't good. They have to be one of the all around strongest conferences. They have lots of good teams and a few really good teams.

And it can't be hot in Miami this time of year, at most it'll be warm which will make it a non-factor. Besides, I dont think heat makes that much of a difference, I think cold is more of a factor in football games. It's not like PSU wasn't practicing in the summer where it was easily the same temp if not hotter than it is right now in Florida.

Nyck 01-03-2006 06:50 PM

they(big 10) have only had one winning bowl season in the last 6 years. they are 6-11 in the last 3 years. They can get to bowls but cant finish the job.
