Movie Review: Hostel
 

Wow, I just got back from the special employee screening and it was fucking amazing.

Brief overview: I don't know how to explain it without going into too much of detail. It's pretty much these 3 guys traveling Europe find themsevles in Slovakia because it supposedly has the best women and hoes. They get there only to find there is some weird-ass torturing business going on.


I'd give the movie 9 out of 10. They start off in Amsterdam and holy cow...there are A LOT of titties! It's like 15mins of straight sex (sexual things, acts, bodies, etc.).

The plot and story is pretty well developed.

There is A LOT of gore. So if you have a soft stomach, I recomend getting a barf bag for your viewing. It can get pretty disgusting at some points.

Ha, your review makes me want to see that even more. Fake gore doesn't really effect me, (I've never seen a movei that actually "grossed me out"), and titties are a plus.

doesn't sound like there's much of a storyline coleman. not that thats a bad thing. i mean 15 minutes of titties and an hour and 15 minutes of gore is cool with me. just not worth my $10.50

im not a really big fan of scary/gory movies but most of friends are so if they go to see this then i probably will end up seeing it as well.

well, i don't want to give too much away. Don't get me wrong here, it's not 15mins of sex and then 15mins of blood and guts. There is a huge story behind the torturing and there's like a 5 mins period where all you see is gore.

i read a review in the sun times today about it. it said that this horror film has something the others dont. a decent plot line and believability. i will be seeing this, i have a small fetish for movies like this (seven, saw, etc) normally though, im not a big fan of horror flicks.

I'll see if this movie will gross me out. the only movie to date that actually made me yell out an "EW!" was Land of the dead, which was one of the worst ones/

sweet...ill probably see it in whitby...and whitby has disappointed me the two times i saw a movie there...scary movie 3 and get rich or die tryin...only thing good was the 8 mile shit in SM3 and terrance howard in GRODT.

i saw it today and this was one of the biggest dissapointments of a movie. this is the only movie i really considered walking out of. the movie idea was a good but it put out too well not enough gore and or violence. QT should take his name off this pile of shit.

its not my fault i found the movie to suck balls. there was no violence and no gore, i was expecting so much cause cabin fever was decent so i was hoping eli roth would improve on everything and well he didnt.

i dont think it was well thought out, it is your typical newer horror movie. they cut this movie so much and im sure it will be better if they realease the unrated or nc17 rated one, but until then i will stick by my opinion

My theater is being run by many bible-thumpers, so Hostel isn't being played at my theater. They've been doing this lately. Including The Ringer obviously because it's "making fun of retards". oOo:

So I probably won't be able to see it any time soon. FGS.
