The Da Vinci Code

Anyone read this? I picked it up last week and finished it yesterday. It was amazing. I dont particularly enjoy reading all that much, but this book really sucks you in. Its fiction, but with a lot of interesting factual information. Basically about a secret society and the catholic churches desire to stop this secret societies "hidden truth" to come out. A really good book. I suggest you pick it up. There also making it into a movie with Tom Hanks, which i think comes out in a few months.

They're making a movie of it? no, you must be lying. you are such a liar

It was a good book. If you liked it, pick up some of Dan Brown's others. Angels & Demons is the book preceding the DaVinci Code. Deception Point is another good one, although not as good as the other 2 mentioned.

Yea I read Angels and Demons 1st then Da Vinci Code. I prefered A&D but both were good reads.

Is Angels and Demons are prequel to Da Vinci Code? Same characters or plot?

same main character. Robert Langdon, they make references to it a few times in Da Vinci Code. Its has nothing to do with the plot but they make reference to "one year ago when I was almost killed at the vatican"

sorta the same way that they talk about Jack Ryan's actions and shootout in Britain in Hunt for Red October, way before the book was written.

Worst book ever...But I'm glad its making people who never read pick up a book. Everybody should read, stimulates the mind.
