Trust me My Inlaws are steelers rednecks just like this couple. pittsburgh since 1970 has been a football town and youre right, we live and die steelers but at least headup's least favorite city (but still where he has chosen to go to school for whatever reason) has something to be proud of.

don't let the fairweather fans fool you, there are folks in pittsburgh that will do anything for any of their teams and its a good bet that those who can afford it have season tickets for any franchise in the city.

Ive been to Pittsburgh once...wasn't really all that interesting...saw a Pirates game and got this cool little bear thing whichw as a bat catcher.

I wouldn't live there...but I wouldn't not go to a school just cuz i don't really like the city as long as I like the school...and hell I did choose to go to school in the best city in the world...(to visit not to live lol I would never live here) in downtown toronto...but a suburb like north york would be cool.

It's Western Pennsylvania, they bleed football.

as a post-script how can you not at least respect a guy like bettis who took a pay-cut and a deminished role in the offense to stay here? not to mention that the steelers have had two coaches since '69...is it because they're f'd up or just loyal? doesnt happen often. im not trying to convert any of you, i just don't think Pittsburgh is as bad as you guys are making it to be.
