Some cheapskate slipped me a Canadian quarter. Now I have to pass it on to some other joe. I hate it when that happens.

I always seem to get them from the local 7-11 so i do what any good American does....just give it back next time i'm there.

Sgt>Stackem 02-13-2006 07:03 AM

I refuse it. I tell them "I gave you American money and thats what I expect back"

Nyck 02-13-2006 07:22 AM

But that's like winning the lottery, isn't it? You are owed a Canadian quarter and they give you a US quarter. That's like a 50% return on your investment! ;)

Madmartagen 02-13-2006 11:35 AM

its about 20% more value, not exactly the lottery, but its a nice boost. im saving up funds now so when i go back to vancouver, i will have more spending money. had a great time last year, cant wait to go back.

It sure looks that way...though I don't see how it'll help either of us in the long run...though a vacation to america for my 21st birthday would be cheaper now.

I don't like getting american quaters, but it seems veeryone takes em...though vending machines don't seem too.

I don't mind getting foreign currency as long as its worth more than what was owed me, but that rarely happens, its usually canadian...

same, when you live this close to canada you get their money, you get people with dual citizenship, ITs all just part of the region. Im just upset that soda machines dont take canadian money, nor do the laundry machines.

Miscguy 02-13-2006 07:49 PM

I hate when you go to a store and try to pass it back off on them and there like "oh we dont take canadian money". Well then how the fuck did i end up with it, huh jack ass. my bank didnt give it to me, you did mother fucker.

heh heh...we'll see who has the last laugh when the Canuck dollar rises above the US dollar.

Although, by the time it's ready to do that, you guys will have elected another president, confidence soars in the States, and the US dollar rebounds like a motherfucker.
