My contract with Cingular is going to run out on Monday, so we went over to Sam's Club to do a nice switch.

We decided to switch over to t-mobile for a few reasons:
a) we got the razor v3 phone for just $69
b) it's a 1 year plan (so if we get another good deal some other place, we can switch back and forth for some good deals biggrin: )
c) unlimited text/picture/emotion messages for everyone on the plan for $9.95
d) the coverage for our area is pretty good. When I'm up at college, t-mobile shares a few towers with Cingular so my coverage won't be any different than before, which is a good thing.

I have the v3 now and it's pretty damn awesome. I just have to wait till monday for my old number to switch over to the v3 phone. I'm just so amazed by the size of the thing. The battery is like 80% of the phone's weight and size. when i put it in my pocket, i hardly even notice it's there.

since my old phone was "locked" i couldn't swtich the SIM chips. The guy that sold us the plan said there's somewhere online where you can enter up to 10 contacts at a time via keyboard and it'll send it to your phone. This way it saves you the hassle of entering them in by hand on your phone. Anyone know where the site is?

I just got a new phone too. A Sony Ericsson W900i.
Only one problem. It won't sync with the pc.
I think it has something to do with the mRouterRuntime.exe program,
as when I shut down the pc it always says "not responding",
so I have to end task on it. oOo: (connecting via USB cable)

the razr has usb connectivity to it. install the software and you should be able to synch your outlook contacts to it. or, you can do it the hard way, which is to save the contacts on your old phone SIM and move it to the razr and unload it. trouble is, that way you have to do it one by one. are your contacts only on outlook?

i was going to use my old SIM chip but it won't work with it since it's locked.

I had all of my contacts on the older phone. I've connected my razr with my PC via bluetooth. I was able to transfer audio/video/pictures. I just couldn't find where to use contacts. I even went into Outlook and went to "File-->Send to Bluetooth", but nothing happens when I click it for some reason. wallbash:

i don't care what it looks like. It has great reception and it is very thin. I can hardly tell its in my pocket. My other phone bulged out like a hard-on in sweat pants.

that razr fucking SUCKS. just wait until it will randomly turn off, or not connect half of the calls you make. yep..i fucking hate this phone and i get pissed off thinking about it.

its thin, yes, but its very wide, and i hate that sort of style. I like my samsung default that came with my tmobile contract..

haha yp my phone did that..... two days later I got pissed and broke the screen off... now I got nextel it gets signal anywhere.... almost broke my blackberry by dropin my skateboard on it

my friend hooked me up with one sweet-ass program. It lets you send pictures/videos/audio between your PC and phone very easily and quickly. The program is really nice. Best cell phone program I've seen. It's called: Mobile PhoneTools

It let's you edit pictures to fit the resolution of your wallpaper very simply.

That program should have come with your phone coleman. Came with my razr. Had mine for about 6 or 7 months now, no problems what so ever.

I didn't get a thing. Did you download it off of a t-mobile website? Or did you get it through a different provider?

My account is going to be activated tomorrow afternoon so I'll see what happens when I log into the website with my account.

It came on a CD in the box with the phone. Along with a bunch of other shit i'll never use, like a leather case, and hip clippy thingy, a few cables and shit.

Verizon > * (Including god)

i liked verizon's service and everything, but I can save close to $30 with this plan.

edit: At school the service sucks...that's the only place I've been that doesn't have good service. T-mobile/Cingular has the best service at UniversityPark

I had t-mobile, it was fucking horendous at first service wise, it has gotten a lot better, but still no where near the service i get with verizon, out in the boondocks i get full bars, even on Quantico where tmobile i never had service.

Cingular is horrible, everytime i try and call someone who has it i alway get this "we are sorry our server is busy right now try your call later" or some bull shti like that.

i set up a couple of people with Razrs at work and i havent had any complaints. maybe its your service provider. ive seen the reviews online, and alot of the complains have to do with people being retarded. dropping a slim phone onto the pavement = your loss, what do people expect, thats why youre supposed to take care of your shit. devices do go bad, but they have warrantys and the complaints you have posted seem that they could be fixed by a return within 30 days or changing your service provider. i dont own one myself, so im not going to put myself on a limb further than what ive said.

we changed from cingular to t-mobile and i got this pos for free like 4 months ago so i cant return it, obviously and i dont know if there is a warrenty on it.
