Graphic death scenes - and don't see it with your folks unless you love feeling uncomfortable, as there are rough wound-inflicting sex scenes and the beginnings of what I think was a 69....

The attack scenes are really good...

yeah, the 69 pwned. I watched it two weeks ago (friend is a manager at Blockbuster rock: ). I thought it was fairly good. It keeps you thinking a lot.

Horrible movie. Sure the guy kicks ass. Twice. The rest is just "meaningful" music, shitty dialogue, and overly dramatic camera use. Barly even finished it and wouldnt watch it again.

Good film. Saw it Thursday night.

...Three times he kicks ass.....That was worth the whole film for me, and when the kid gets into a fight with the school bully - That was kinda fun...

I did think the script was kind of dumbed down, but I felt as though it added effect to the simple life he was leading, and how different he had become. When he goes to philli, it should be noted that the script changes considerably as he morphs back into this other guy and William Hurt's character is introduced.

The cinematography was a bit frustrating at times (the first five minutes were kinda frustrating - but it did build up tension), you have to put up with that in cronenberg's films, he almost is a bit David Lynch at times with his approach to film making with very subtle references and deep metaphors which noone really ever gets anyway.

Other than WILLIAM HURT getting a bullshit Oscar nom for his 5 FUCKING MINUTES as Viggo's brother -

Its a good movie.

96 minutes? couldn't they make it a full movie? I hate seeing movies that are less than 2 hours, it feels like a waste. I still plan on seeing it though, it looked cool, plus Ed Harris is awesome.

if you fast forward through the sex scene, will you miss any important parts of the storyline? girlfriend and I want to watch it but those scenes make her uncomfortable.

Ed Harris is awesome in it....The movie ends rather abruptly without any feeling of resolution, but you still in a way leave the film feeling as though its completed...I felt as though the character himself couldn't have done anything else after the scenes leading up to the end and thus there would be no basis of storyline to continue the film...

So yeah, I liked the length...I felt fulfilled by the film...Any longer and it would have dragged on too much I think.

Good fights , but I thought it was not the best acting, the whole movie has a cheese factor to me. it seemed cheaply made and sub par acting.

But I think that's what made me want to watch it more. As you are watching, you'll see scenes that are just HILARIOUS even though they're supposed to be quite serious...example: when he runs back to the house with the shotgun in his hand even though his foot is fucked up. Yet somehow, he thinks his 2 mile limping will beat a huge SUV back to his house

I thought thte movie was kind of retarded.. The movie had a good concept but it was fucked up by dialogue that sounded like it was written by a grade fiver (not helped by the bad acting) and cinematography that was just plain retarded. But hey, I still kind of enjoyed the movie..

Really enjoyed this movie.. Very intriuging story and great performances by Viggo and Harris. The killing scenes were quick but brutal, really well done film.

it was total crap, there was no plot, stuff just happened, and the ending left practically no resolution to the core problem, that he had two personalities...

It had a plot.


1. Man encounters past.

2. Man battles his past

3. Man closes his past

4. Main problem solved, and foundation is layed down to solve his family issue which related to his past.

5. Movie gives you a message, one that the past must be dealt with, even if it could kill you.


THIS is just a basic breakdown of the movie. Solid acting, and great directing made it a good movie.
