it looks like a 2WD. Even if it was a 4WD dont lift it.

looks pretty good...but to be honest you could do better. I'm looking at trucks myself. Like under 4k and you'd be surprised what you can find. I've found s-10's and Sonoma's for like 3g's with 100k miles and air and automatic, etc... I'd honestly search around more. Seems alot for that truck in it's condition and mileage.

thats 18 years old. go newer. You can get 95 or newer trucks now for under $4g's and they will last a shitload longer and cost you less in the long run.

wow!. That truck is only 18 yrs with only 140 k on it? Thats not bad at all. But make sure to get a carfax report for it to make sure the odometer wasn't rolled back... though even if it was, its only 1500...

Take the money you'd spend on a lift kit and get a better car/truck.

Shoulda went for it, Ranger's are nice trucks. We've got one, a 2001 Ranger, it took a real beating on our drive from Denver, CO to Puerto Vallarta, MX...

Some of the roads, oh my god man, really should've killed the car. Like the mountain pass outside of Durango was hell, we were up in these winding mountains for almost 5 hours straight... scariest moment of my life

Also dont harp on rangers to much, try looking into a used Dakota, my friendh as one, its awesome. Look at a used Frontier too.

Rangers blow. They have the highest rollover rate of any 4x4 (applies to the 4x4 model only). If you are looking at older trucks look at any old B series, or Toyota. BULLETPROOF. were talking 500 + km to the engine no problems. BUT if you must have a 4x4, then look into a older Izusu.

If it does what you need it, who cares really. Good commuter truck for what you need it to do, but when it comes to truck things, the Pickup guys look for such as hauling and 4x4ing, it won't really perform. Still a solid truck for the basic man, has been doings its job for decades.

yup takes me to and from work allows me to haul some things and the sound system is KILLER when I pump my 1130 AM WDFN

I would offer them $1,100 for it and if they don't take it buy something better.

A few months ago some guy was selling THREE lifted 86 toyotas for like $1200 each, and nothing was really wrong with them. Wish I had the chance to get... two of them. biggrin:

I think he means that you wouldnt know what to do with a lifted truck, they are made for OFF road not cruising the Cali suburbs

That's what me and friends are in to, off-roading. We just aren't experienced like Unknown_Sniper is...
