Flooding

I dont know about the rest of the country but those of us up here in New England have been getting rains for the past 3 days. Im not talking about sprinkles either, Im talking 5-10 inches of rain per day. I know our buddies over near boston and north east mass are getting fucked up right now and roads are washing away. Its also supposed to rain until next saturday. oOo: New England weather is fucked up.

RaNgeR 05-14-2006 10:34 PM

That looks like something out of return of the jedi or some other type of sci-fi movie!

Rain sucks tho and flooding adds that little bit extra to an already shitty day!

You have probably seen Peabody mentioned on the news, Unknown ... most of those videos you see are right down the street from me.

I took it upon myself to block a street off near my house biggrin: biggrin:

Sirus 05-15-2006 11:42 PM

send some down my way, we never get any rain in Texas wallbash:

Unknown_Sniper 05-16-2006 01:13 AM

haha thats cause its texas. I walked through my back yard and it felt like walking on a sponge. Me and a friend went offroading this afternoon and what is normally a very hard rocky trail was a white water river. Ive got pics and a video of that Ill post tomorrow at some point.

School was cancelled for us yesterday, and it is today too

Arkan 05-16-2006 09:43 AM

Pissing over here in NY also. Only had a tiny bit of H2O in the basement. Nothing a sponge mop couldn't handle. I need to go up on the roof and check the chimney cap. I think water is getting down the flue and coming in from the cleaning trap in the basement.

Sniper101 05-16-2006 12:31 PM

they only work if theres some place to put the water. Theyre useless when the water youre trying to pump back out is at the same level as the water the water thats at your door, or in most cases the river

....what?

Unknown_Sniper 05-16-2006 03:37 PM

you are about as smart as a brick so stfu coma. Stackem was talking of a sum pump. I have one of those in my basement and the basement is dry as a bone. happy: Still cant say much for outside though. Raining like a bitch again.

CoMaToSe 05-16-2006 03:39 PM

why odnt I have more negative karma?

Sgt>Stackem 05-16-2006 03:59 PM

its not really a sump pump it will remove any water up to 1/8 inch from basement floors/crawlspaces. It doesnt go inside a sump pump can/container. Its mobile and goes where the water is. I use it for emergency use, flooding in my crawl space. I dont want a sump pump in there because it would freeze in the winter

Unknown_Sniper 05-16-2006 05:18 PM

ah I see.
