Iraq's prime minister and U.S. officials said his identity was confirmed by fingerprints and a first-hand look at his face. The announcement came six days after the Jordanian-born terror leader appeared in a videotape, railing against Shiites in Iraq and saying militias are raping women and killing Sunnis and the community must fight back. |
This must be the 7th or 8th time that this guy's been killed. oOo:

It was sarcasm. I did see it and read it. There is a lapse of optimism on other boards that makes it seem that America has won the war or something like that.

Wouldnt that be a lapse of pessimism - since a lapse of optimism would lead people to think this development WOULDNT be good? As for "winning the war on terror" - this is a huge blow. Maybe not logistically (and none of us are in any position to know what kind of impact his death - and the death of many of his lts. - will have on the AQ infrastructre), but at the very least it will send a message to terror cells and future AQ leadership - we can get you, we will get you, and when we do - we will frame your dead face in a Nice Oaken Picture Frame and have Tony Snow and George Bush deliver your eulogy. |
You are correct on the lapse of pessism.
|
they made sure he was dead, two 500 pound precision guided bombs...
Anyways its good hes dead and not killing other and all but what I dont get is how everone is saying this will boost bush's approval ratings. Seems like they push Osama to the back burner and went after easier targets to let us try and forget Osama. Gj and all, but it's not a victory in the least bit. |
Didn't I already post a thread about this before this one in THIS forum?

fuck yeah, thats awesome news! Wonder who is going to try and take his place, and hopefully his replacment will be easier to catch. Big blow to AQ in Iraq, but im sure there are still plenty of people out there willing to join his faction.

this haditha investigation probaly brought on 1000's more al quada. GG marines!guilty until proven incocent.. i know... i know
|
Good news, of course - despite the fact that there are more to take his place...

Yeah, we should have let him live so others couldn't take his place...

its weird like that. WE go over there and kill insurgents who respond by killing civilians with bombs, who then get angry adn the insurgents say its our fault the civies are dieing because the insurgents are blowign them up...
And they think they already know who is going ot take his place. They said the guys name on the news but it being middle eastern and all I don't know what it was. |

this morning my thread is deleted and a later one moved from offtopic, you following? It's obviously no big deal and I shoudln't have bothered, but it's annoying to get my post quoted with your trademark eek:, meanwhile, back in offtopic, a third thread is started and you have to chime in with "There is a thing called politics forum. eek: " which is where my thread was posted and deleted IN THE FIRST FUCKING PLACE, phew...hope that helps. eek: |

Just seen on the news that he didn't die straight away they had him on a stretcher and he tried to roll off it then died soon after. Can you imagine the propoganda from iraq if hed survived the attacks and got better? 1000lbs of bombs couldn't kill him etc. ed:
|
glad to hear it, an instant death would have been way too good for that fuck.
|
yeah I heard that as well. They said soldiers told them "he rolled around mumbling something and then died."
