open discussions in any thread on any topic shouldnt be locked / deleted if you ask me. more locked theads = more new topics, which cant be better. isnt this a discussion board ? i like seeing 7,8,9 page threads about nothing.

the rules are horse shit and need revision. most of the mods lock / delete out of spite rather than necessity, well at least one.
