38 mins of quakwars

looks hot.

i hope to god the servers arent limited to 8 players as guy mentioned tho. if so its going to be a boring fucking game. i also dont like hearing the q4 gun sounds cuss:

Nyck 08-04-2006 02:13 PM

what the fuck are you talking about cletus

geRV 08-04-2006 02:13 PM

They've said 24-32 players in game, 64 is too much as its an all out clusterfuck (see bf2).

Does look good, meant to be a beta in the next few months, though the full games delayed till next year. cuss:

Not a matter of scaring people, they said in an interview that with 64 players the game tuns into more of a streetfight with people more concerned with fragging others than comp[leting the objectives. Then you have the problem with vehicles being scarce as fuck with 32 players on each side and not everyone wants to have to run for 5 mins just to nubbed by the usual gayness.

32 is probably a more reasonable amount, can you remember when bf2 was meant to have 128 players and they scaled it back, fuck knows what 64 players a team would have meant, probably get a vehicle one time every 15 mins or so. annoy:

you had big servers in et and people did work to complete objs ... the game just lasted a bit longer. hopefully the et people will move to this game and already have a good idea as to what it takes to play.

Yeah big servers but again, maps were nowhere near as big, and vehicles play a big factor. I doubt very much this game will play anything like the original enemy territory with the exception of acheiving objectives.

Miscguy 08-04-2006 06:04 PM

video is to low quality to tolerate 30+ minutes of it.

Gamespy posted up a few 2 min long action movies

http://uk.media.pc.gamespy.com/media/74 ... html?f=trs

One of the things i noticed in one of these vids, a guy gets into the hover coptor and another guy hops in at the same time, the game seems to give priority to whoever gets in first and it said on the bottom lef tof the screen that another player was in the vehicle and did you give consent to let them stay, f1 for yes f2 for no. Im assuming then if you hit no they get kicked out. Be pretty handy, plenty of situations in bf2 where that kind of option woulda been handy such as using the mg on a hummer guarding a point only to have some nub hop in and drive you away. oOo:

Put simply. It means that watching a projector display through a video camera mildly zoomed in doenst offer enough detail to showcase the game. Thusly not keeping my interest.

WidowMaker555 08-05-2006 07:33 AM

im glad you can chose who gets in the vehicle with you, no more nubs happy:
