Schumacher is retiring

After winning the race today Schumacher stated that he will retire at the end of this season which is only 2 more races.

Itll be sad not seeing his name in the standings.

Short Hand 09-10-2006 05:43 PM

WOW !, I thought he would have gone on to around 40 or 45......

anti 09-10-2006 05:47 PM

loney:
raikkonen on ferrari... wtf mate

Unknown_Sniper 09-10-2006 05:48 PM

It jsut struck me when I was watching the press conference after the race. Hes only 37. But he feels its his time to leave.

Tripper 09-10-2006 05:50 PM

He'll probably continue motor racing in some shape or form - So many people that retire young have "comebacks."

Most dominate person in his sport...ever. He will be missed, but the competition will be wide open now. I don't see anyone that will "dominate" quite like Schumey did. I think the McLaren/Ferrari rivalry will get heated once again come next year with Raikkonen at Ferrari, and Alonso at McLaren. Will make for some good racing.

Nyck 09-10-2006 06:54 PM

Yea it will be amazing, his teammates wont have to lay back and let him win races or let him pass them so he can gain a couple spots.

F1 = Joke

Yeah, me too, reminds me of that one news story year 1/2 ago or so where they couldnt decide whether to kill that one girl or not (a veggie). I kept saying just pull the plug, who the fuck wants to spend their last years sitting in bed drooling on yourself.

LOL uncanny

Mr.Buttocks 09-11-2006 01:54 PM

I'm sure I'm right in saying that Schumacher was the biggest private donator to the Tsunami victims in 2004. He gave £6 million, or something like that. He's German, he cheats, but he's an ok kinda guy.

elstatec 09-11-2006 03:41 PM

big shame, always liked him the most out of all other champions, hope he beats the boresome alonso to win his eighth championship and make a perfect swansong.

or maybe he will do a zidane and crash his car straight into alonso on the last lap of the last race of the season.
