If shit happens in Quebec I don't even count it as something happening in Canada. Fuck them...but Montreal does ahve a nice nightlife scene but besides that... |
Only reason we hold on to Quebec is because it is probably the only thing that seperates our culture from the Americans. If we didn't have a bilingual nation
we may as well call ourselves Americans, something I think alot of Canadians would rather not do. |

Just try to call any service phone number......................... If you have an inquery, press 1 for Spanish, if you speak English, press 2 and please hold for 22 minutes. Thank you. |

But then again, if the fact that one of your provinces speaks a different language is the only thing keeping you from feeling like an American, why should socalized medicine, a national love for Hockey that is renowned worldwide, a stereotype of a nicer citizen that is in stark contrast to that of the American citizen stereotype, or the use of the metric system (just to name a few), be any reason to stop you? |

Looks like the cops shot the guy. So get back on topic. |
Well done some mad fucks go into a school and shoots ppl and you
start with the "we are better than there" bullshit. RIP to the poor ppl who just thought they were just going to school today. |
Fuck you judas
Sorry to hear about the violence but it's something not only America is used to. Shit happens all across the globe. |
[quote:61f9b]Fuck you judas [/quote:61f9b]
Right back atcha pal. Judas owns you. |

On a more related note, this event is fucking terrible for two reasons: 1- So many innocent lives shaken by this and 2- the gun control crowd now believes (erroneously) that they have justification to remove all firearms from civilian hands. The joke is on them though: once we're completely disarmed, crime will increase and we'll have no means to defend ourselves when another shooting spree occurs. What we need is concealed carry... it's fairly fucking simple. |

: i can never understand people truly ( are you really concerned or is it just the right thing to say ? ) being upset by things like this. "oh thats just awful". well no shit its awful. so, form a committee, print badges, tshirts, and bumper stickers to prove that you are concerned about random acts of violence against people you know absolutely nothing about. |

(PS bikers do much much much worse in Quebec with weapons on a daily basis over what this guy has done) |
[quote="Short Hand":a1bde]
good thing you have no say in Canadian gun laws man !!!! [/quote:a1bde] You realize that Concealed Carry Laws only encourage the usage of firearms by people who wouldn't use them illegally because people who would want to use a gun for illegal purposes already have firearms illegally? Legalizing firearms dosen't make it any eaiser for people who would use it for illegal purposes, it only makes it eaiser for people who would use it legally and for self defence. |
Look, OUR GUN LAWS up until now have worked just fine. SO I see no need to change anything. AND to be honest, Who needs to carry a pistol on them ? You do realize that most Canadians can't conceive such a thing .. I mean if someone had a pistol in theri hand walking downtown Orangeville, or Brampton everyone would brake into a panic and start running or look and stare, its not part of our identity or our culture, so why make them any more readily availible.

tostitos multigrain corn chips
|
...you're not supposed to have a pistol in your hand as you walk down the street unless you're a police officer or something.

Go ahead and call 911... I'd rather have the ability to protect myself. |

Our "gun laws" obviously don't fucking work: today is proof enough... or do you need further bloodshed in conjunction with data from conceal carry states to be convinced that we're on the wrong track? Who needs to carry? Anyone who chooses to do so and correctly decides to take protection of self in his own hands. I won't trust others to be there when I need them: as such, I prefer putting the odds on my side by having the most efficient deterrent and means of defending myself when all other options have been exhausted. By the way... CONCEAL CARRY means exactly that: you don't know WHO has WHAT: that's why the goddamn thing is such a powerful deterrent. Honestly, do you ever stop to think for even a moment? |
I'd rather trust my life to a concealed weapon than a fucking phone call.
|
No, you just have a hard on for guns. No one else in Canada except for a few nutty bags like you are so pushy when it comes to laxing weapon laws.
|
See, this is exactly why we're never going to progress: people still demonize firearms because they don't understand them. Until you learn about them and understand they're no more dangerous than any other power tool in responsible hands, we'll be stuck in similar situations. What a pussy generation... I can't even imagine the kind of politicians we're going to have in a few years...

Uh, yeah... exactly. Nothing else to add, really. |

... in which case I re-direct my comment to Short. I have no problem with people who understand the need to change the popular perception of firearms and the importance of personal responsibility in regards to self-defense along with the proper means of achieving that goal.

I'll reiterate because it's important.
