Not every game will make use of the controller thats the point, companies can either make use of it or use the regular classic controller..OR the original gamecube controller, they have a lot of options open to them.

what does the normal controller look like...as I dislike the gamecube controller.

Im buying a Wii. Now downloading the old games like snes and 64 games. How does that work and does it cost anything? Is it saved to a HD on the Wii? Or would I have to connect every time to play it?

it has like little SD memory cards you can add and a little tiny one built in. The games cost money between 3-10 bucks I think per game or set and they are saved on the card

Also a rumour knocking around that the usb ports on it can let you attach an external usb hard drive. dance:

That would be cool. Ah 3-10 bucks? That isnt bad but why spend the money when I got the machine collecting dust in my closet if I wanted to play that game again. Are their any perks to downloading it again?

Dunno if there is any perks to getting it dloaded, maybe they've upped the res on them or something similar to what 360 does with original xbox games.

Anyone else agree that those graphics look absolutely no different from current gen graphics?

well the Wii isnt "next-gen" graphix and never claimed to be, many of the graphix will look just like gamecube. its innovation with the motion controller and the library of classic games that is its selling point

Yup plays all gamecube games, doesn't play dvd's however, reason being is everyone has one and you can pick up a dvd player for fuck all these days anyway.

wow looks great

The main thing in those vids that stick out is the quality of the textures, it shows what the 360 can do when a game is designed properly for it and not just ported over, ala quake 4.

To be honest i dunno if ive seen textures of that kind of res in any pc game to date (thats actually in stores or very soon to be), though gow is using unreal engine 3 so probably when that hits.
