Breathing Problems

Okay, here's my problem, summed up:
The last few weeks I've had trouble getting enough air down. The last few days its gotten really bad, I can barely breathe at times. I stop breathing at night and wake up in a panic. I feel like I have something in my throat, almost like I got punched in the neck.

Thoughts?

Pre-empt: I hope you die.
Lol fatass
etc

Akuma 10-30-2006 10:49 PM

The sleep thing sounds like a psychological thing. You aren't really not breathing, you only think you are.

I used to get that.

Miscguy 10-30-2006 10:49 PM

I hope you die fatass.

i simply combined your pre-empts.

Also, be less of a fatass, problem solved.

Coleman 10-30-2006 10:54 PM

your smoking has caught up with you

emphysema?

c312 10-30-2006 10:55 PM

Chronic Diarrhea 10-30-2006 11:03 PM

asthma pre-symptoms maybe? Do you wheeze at all while breathing?

Nyck 10-30-2006 11:06 PM

any mushroom stamps on your neck? maybe your roommates are cock beating your throat at night as well.

[quote:d044d]WEDNESDAY, Oct. 25 (HealthDay News) - Being overweight increases the odds you'll be misdiagnosed as having asthma when other problems are actually to blame for shortness of breath or wheezing.

That's the conclusion of a new study that was to be presented Monday at the American College of Chest Physicians annual meeting, in Salt Lake City. Researchers found about 60 percent of overweight people diagnosed with asthma actually didn't have the lung disease. [/quote:d044d]

Get with the times, man.

In all seriousness, despite the fact that they continue to bring it into conversation, Im actually not fat anymore. And I can feel something, its like a swelling constriction in my throat. When I drink stuff, it usualy gets a bit better. Im going to see the doctor first thing after class tommorrow

Coma, sometimes you venture too deep into the "knucklehead" arena. Sometimes i think you do it just for the attention.

CoMaToSe 10-31-2006 12:08 AM

yes, Im gonna go to the doctor's at 1 am in the morning. Good call ark. Really, your lifetime of accrued wisdom really shown through on that particular insight.... rolleyes:

Yes, because arkan was implying you go right now. As apposed to WEEKS AGO when the problem started, and persisted. Not to mention that it escilated in the last FEW DAYS. Meaning you've had tons of time to not be a complete fucking idiot.

Simo Häyhä 10-31-2006 01:06 AM

this is some of the best news i've heard all week. please die

Doh, i don't even know where to begin with this one. Let me try anyway......are hospitals near you closed at 1am because you're in such a special place that no one needs medical attention at that hour where you live? If so, perhaps i should live there too. Er, wait a minute, i take that back. I'd plunge a kitchen knife through my chest if i had to live next to you.

Zoner 10-31-2006 07:14 AM

It could be sleep apnea. See your doctor and get a sleep study. I have sleep apnea and am being treated with a C-PAP when I sleep.

Don't let this slide, man. It's not something to take lightly.

CoMaToSe 10-31-2006 10:09 AM

alright, saw the doc today, gave me something called Prednisone, take with food (I can do that easily enough the_finger: )
Took 2, results were almost immediate

I stopped taking the paxil.

ninty 10-31-2006 11:58 AM

hah, good luck with prednisone. Looks like doc didn't want to know or care what was wrong with you and just gave you what he gives everyone else. My dog was on prednisone. happy: and the lady down my street is on it as well for leukemia.

My diagnosis: mental aka it's all in your head.

But then again I’m no doctor. just keep taking prednisone for your non existent problem. It’s what most people do.

CoMaToSe 10-31-2006 12:02 PM

but there really is something preventing me from breathing

ninty 10-31-2006 12:05 PM

so did your doctor actually tell you what is preventing you from breathing?

no...

Sgt>Stackem 10-31-2006 12:13 PM

Pyro, prednisone is a great drug. It can help many things. I know your not a Dr but you prob stayed at a Holiday Inn Express last night

Coma, take it and take it all dont stop if you start feeling better. I have taken prednisone for many things in the past and it does work but you need to take all the pills most people make the mistake of stopping when you feel better. Take it until its gone

dr nein 10-31-2006 12:15 PM

Prednisone will fuck you up for life if you take it a lot. Take as much as you can.

ninty 10-31-2006 12:22 PM

you called me pyro? -1 annoy:

If the doctor didn't tell you what the problem was, or he doens't know what the problem was, how can you diagnose it?

yea, otherwise any surviving bacteria will survive and possibly evolve to combat it.

You fat fucking moron. God you're stupid. Fucking waste of perfectly good oxygen that could go towards some other WORTHY person, rather than some fat fucking half-wit retard who is about as independent as a fucking baby.

Does your mummy spoon feed you as well?

c312 10-31-2006 01:11 PM

ninty, prednisone is prescribed for so many things because it's an antibiotic. Your dog probably had an infection so it got prednisone, the woman who has luekemia probably takes prednisone to keep her from getting an infection because she has a weak immune system. Antibiotics work for tons of different things.

BTW coma, I would try to ask your doc what he/she thinks you have, it might be nice to know.

yeah i know. but i mean that if they knew what it was they could better treat it instead of admistering prednisone. i'm pretty sure prednisone is a pretty harsh drug.

i've been to doctors that will just look and then prescribe some drug that may or may not work. i know their time is valuable and all, but if we were able to better recgonize what people had, there would be less of a need for antibiotics and thus we would see less resistance from new viruses and such. just my opinion.

I have a frontal lobe tumor.
