so here's a question: Why is Sci-Fi nerdy than other kinds of fiction? Why is it okay for Milla to have Jack Bauer stuff all in his sig and avatar, but I get made fun of for my Galactica stuff? BSG is just as good, if not better, than 24, so oOo:

thats a poor arguement. I, nor anybody I know, dresses up as a TV character. And if you dress as Jack Bauer, you're still a nerd, just harder to spot.

The thing is, I think most people here and in the larger consumer audience equivocate BSG with Star Trek, or Star Wars, or, worst of all, the original 70s series. It annoys me that when you mention liking an increasingly subpar show, like Lost, people say 'oh, yea, thats cool. I used to watch that', and when you mention liking an increasingly excellent show like BSG, people sneer and roll their eyes. "Have you ever seen it?" "No."

people have different tastes and maybe 3 people here like BSG, its not gonna change. pls stop

watching the second one now. gotta love the bad acting, the retarded sense of panic with piss poor camera moves trying amplify the feeling. overall it's just shit to me. i'm sorry but quit jerking yourself off talking about how amazing this show is when it seems just like any other drama out there. face it coma, it's just another t.v. show and it will never live up to something like entourage, lost (i'm not a fan but they have my respect for what they do) or arrested development.

The reason no one respects those kinds of shows or their fans is because they're just ridiculously far-fetched, and there are so many of them....Between the Babylon 5's, the star treks, star wars, BSGs and every other sci-fi space-battle bullshit, you're looking at the same thing. What's so amazing about white noise? Nothing to me. I don't find rehashed bullshit that amazing.

Which is more realistic and possible? - 24 or fucking BattleStar? Hmmmm. Entourage or Star Trek? Hmmmm....Even Lost is more realistic than all of them combined.

I dunno about you, Coma, but I can't get into the head of a hyperwarp-gallactic starfleet commander of the 8th dimension to try and relate to his story....
