Guys who went to my highschool in a deadly car accident

http://www.citynews.ca/news/news_5986.aspx

here,s what Ive been told from a friend.

4 drivers
Driver hits light pole
totals car
One guy loses BOTH his legs (This guy I knew, by not personally, he actually had beef with phillips)
Other guy ends up in a coma (knew him, but not personally)
Passenger (guy in link) dead (didnt know him)
Oner guy With head injuries and stitches all over his head (knew this guy, actually got him a job over the summer a long time ago)

dont feel sorry for them, as I am not. This is not a RIP thread or any of that stupid shit. Thought this was some crazy news when I heard, pretty unexpected.

Funny thing is.. happened on Bramalea and Bovaird.. Shawn (pyro), My buddy Ryan, and I were coming home after the leaf game we watched at the sports bar last saturday and Thats the intersection we turned on, on our way home. it's close to all of our homes. We were on there at about 10:30

This accident happned at about 2:15am
Tony and Pyro, im pretty sure knew all these guys too
Im glad we didnt stay any longer there.. we may have been hit by them ed: Pyro and I could be in a coma or possibly DEAD! ed:

hmm

Doctor Duffy 12-12-2006 10:37 PM

You know I always thought how much it woulda sucked to be in an accident as the driver and all the passengers are dead except for you, the stupid shit. Especially w/ how all their friends and family'll think of you from that point on...

Tripper 12-12-2006 10:47 PM

Drunk drivers? Speeding? If its just a straight-up accident, then I'm very sorry to hear.

Simo Häyhä 12-12-2006 10:51 PM

thats awful, hope they recover emotionally/physically as best as they can

Then I have no sympathy for the people in the drunk's car....When will people fucking learn a lesson.

Arkan 12-13-2006 02:44 AM

'Tis a shame. Like Trip said, when will people learn.

Yeah when I hear about people I went to school with or something, dying, kinda freaks me out. Reminds you of your own mortality type deal.

Proteus 12-13-2006 07:10 AM

Everybody dies. Just like everybody poops. Hard to grieve anymore for a death when you finally come to that realization.

Quite possibly the most retarded thing that I've heard in a while.

What am I supposed to do, gerbil him?

TonyMontana 12-13-2006 01:07 PM

I played baseball with JP (guy who lost his legs) for like 6 years before he came to North Park, and was really good friends with him. My family and his family were pretty close. Haven't talked to him much in the last 5ish years though, but it's still really horrible to hear that he lost his legs. fuck.

Terrible news indeed...

Dudes were pretty cool, but were part of the crowd that did stupid things...

...this was bound to happen one day to them...

I probably knew the driver the most out of them all...but I did know all 3 that went to our school pretty well.

Yeah every now and then, but its not as if 'driving high is bad' has been bashed into our heads, like it has for driving drunk...You cringe when you hear another story of a stupid drunk driver dieing at the wheel - Off the top of my head I can't remember a single incident where someone had an accident while high, let alone have it happen enough times for it to be considered as common as drink-driving accidents.

Get off my case widehead, you know my stance on this - I say driving high is a million times more safer than driving drunk.

anti 12-14-2006 02:51 AM

we've had countless debates on the whole driving high vs. driving drunk thing. there's a large difference between the two; but to an inexperienced pothead driving high can be a dangerous thing. we all know trips blood has enough thc to get half of kentucky high so i'd imagine he's ok at driving.
