ps3 or 360?
 

im going to buy one of them, so... which one would you suggest? not trying to start any arguments, just want some advice. From what ive read online.. so far xbox is the better choice with a better game selection but once ps3 releases more game titles, it will be the better buy (blue ray disc is a big selling point too). im more of a playstation person, but im always looking for a change. not interested in the wii.

having both i say 360 the ps3 has no good has big titles coming out for a while. plus the 360 is 100 bucks cheaper than the 20 gig ps3

360 with the HD addon if you have an HD TV. Just the 360 if you have a standard TV.

Wait on the PS3, who knows how much you will be able to buy one for in about 6 months.

ps3 might be worth it when actual decent games come outn on it like a next gen version of god of war or what not, but for the moment, 360.

xbox360, i played a PS3 and wasnt that impressed, but we were only playing NFS:C and Blazing Angels Squadrons of WWII.

the one thing i liked about the PS3 is the look of the console. it looks like it belongs with the rest of your entertainment shit. but i guess you could allways buy the XCM 360 *BLACK KNIGHT*


edit: any word on RockStar coming out with a GTA title for the PS3

the next gta is going too be on the 360 and ps3 at same time.

it was a big thing that microsoft got gta aswell without any wait.

I have a 360 and it recently broke. But microsoft is going to fix it for free some its cool.

360 for numerous reasons, main one being theres fuck all on the ps3 (yet) thats worth a shit really besides resistance.

And im gonna go out on a limb here and assume the 1 ps3 vote was from pyro. annoy:

And thats just the stuff i'll play. There are other games that people rave about that just arnt my style. Also, while some of these arnt 360 exclusive, why not pay less to play them on the 360 than buying a ps3 to play the same game. Plus, the ones that are exclusive, are fucking good games.

I just bought a 360 a month 1/2 ago, so far I am impressed. I do want a PS3 though for metal gear solid 4 and GT5. Ill prob get one in a year or so.

Id say go for the 360 right now.

Im still waiting on resistance arriving, demos pretty good. Only problem is this cocksucker on ebay advertised it as in hand and when i order it i get some bs about having to get it from his supplier. rolleyes: All ive got are demos.


Never expected the console to be that fuckin heavy, prolly like 2x the 360 in terms of weight. Great fingerprint magnet as well.

Go for the 360 if you're planning on playing online alot. And uh, for graphics. Get a PS3 is you want graphics and an empty wallet.

RFM is a decent game at best. even playing it throug my dlp tv at 1080p with hdmi it still looks like ass. the best thing about the game is teh guns. ps anyone who is planing on getting a 360 soon hold off till april the are releasing the second generation of the 360 wiht a hdmi output and a 120 gig HD

The new 360 console is only a rumour at the minute, though there has been pics of one with hdmi but according to MS its something theyre toying around with and have no plans to bring it to market. More than likely the tune will change a few months down the line.


For my ps3 though i got fucked over with that HDCP bullshit (High-Bandwidth Digital Content Protection) and a hdmi to dvi connector refused to work with my monitor as it wasn't HDCP ready... rolleyes:

Lets me connect component cables and have it output as a VGA signal, have my 360 connected to it as well so its just a matter of pressing a button to flick between the 2 signals. Have to use optical out audio as the regular white and red connectors have a habit of making the image blur somehow.

Resistance looks ok, on the tv downstairs i thought it looked rough around the edges but here its pretty smooth looking. Enemies are really dumb where grenades are concerned though, don't even atempt to run away from them.

Now i just need a 1080p capable lcd tv happy:

get a 360 Xbox live alone is worth it. Graphics are great and the controller is comfortable.


Also i never heard about a new 360, plus yu can always buy a bigger HD when Microsoft releases it.

Suppose like everything else both consoles have exclusive franchises that can sway the buyer in either direction. Better to get the console that has the franchises you like.


Some people will buy a ps3 for the new metal gear, saying that though i can't see it being a ps3 exclusive for any amount of time, given the fact that some stores in japan have had to cut around 20% off ps3's to get them shifted. Mgs4 apparently has a pretty large budget and konami would be pretty stupid to release the game on just one platform and risk low revenue.

MGS 4 and FFXIII will be the best games ever and will be on PS3

I say wait a year and see...if not buy a 360 then sell it for a ps3 if their game selection lives up to the last generations.
