All you have to do is look around the net a bit and theres a ton of complaints about the 360 drive revving up and sounding like a 747 in some games. The drive spins so fast and also has no buffers inside it so a lot of games are being scraped becuase of it, a slower and quieter drive would be a nice addition. People are even feigining problems with their 360 and sending them back to ms in the hope of getting a model with a quieter drive.

I dunno if that works, they give you a replacement but the warranty isn't renewed, think its a 2 month one you get.

my local gamestation i used to work at covers the console for a year as they just ship back the faulties to microsoft - with reciept that is even though legally its only 28 days


though more likely the replacement console would be faulty. seen it happen a million times at work, where people bring back 1 then bring back the replacement then the 3rd etc.

Yeah but if you call ms the way it works is you get a refurb and a 2 month warranty. I was always told to bring it back to the store though, prefer a new console and not some previously broken pos that could fail at any minute.


The 360 warranty really is shit, 1 year, then again in amreica it was like 3 months.

Considering the heat the gpu and cpu emit the scenario in the vid is very possible, if the board warps over time solder connections will get broken and fuck the console up. annoy:

from what ive heard not sure if its true. Microsoft plans to get rid of the core system and putting the pro package at the core price.

They plan to sell the Elite as a limited production run at first. Then drop the core, put the premium at the core price, and put the elite where the premium is now. No time line for any of this, and its unknown if they will keep the black finish when it does take up the premiums price.
