Hey Tripper, did you read the book "Children of Men"?
If not, the movie's storyline actually sucked, they should have stuck to the original character flow and development. But the camera work made up for the lousy Hollywood-ization of the story.

Whatever - I thought the movie was great, the storyline didn't suck - Hundred times better than 90% of the shit hollywood is producing these days - Any sacrifices they made form the book for the movie seemed worthwhile because the movie left a lasting impact on me - which is all you can really ask for these days. Plus Clive Owen is fucken cool as shit.

You’re right. After all I believe that music should require musical instruments in order to be classified as music. Oh silly of me! But obviously it’s the intellectually stimulating lyrics which I am missing out on. After all how, does she fit that fine ass into those tight jeans?

The only that has changed about rap music in the past 25 years of it’s existence is the fashion. The genre is bland at best. How can you embrace something which is nothing more than profanity laced poetry? The best lyricist in rap music couldn’t hold a candle to Bob Dylan, Johnny Cash, Elliott Smith or even Joe Strummer and David Byrne.

also, many of the rap artists i listen to use a live band in their albums and almost all of them use a live band while touring.

i agree to a point about pop-rap, but thats pop-rap, we all hate that shit. its the indie-rock(indie-rap) scene that holds most of the good artists, or atleast the artists which would change your mind about characterizing all rap like you do.

Ok. But really why would I have any desire to look up indie rap, when 95% of all rap which I am exposed to sucks?

you have to realize its really a whole different genre. the beats are more musical, the content is not about hoes and cars and money, its really just like any rock you'd like, but in a slightly different musical shell and structure.
