Earthquake in my county (yes I do live in England)

Homes in Kent have been damaged by an earthquake measuring 4.3 on the Richter scale.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/6603169.stm

I was born & bred & live in Kent, the primary county of SE England where the Battle of Britain took place etc. Anyhoo apparently there was an earthquake on Saturday but I didn't feel anything. If I did feel a shudder at 820am I prolly thought it was one of the fat slags from the club the other day getting out of bed.

I know you yankee chaps get a few quakes, but I'm very surprised we got one here. I thought you had to be near a tectonic plate or something for that to happen? Like San Fransisco & Japan etc?

Heres some pix of the damage:

As you can see the damage actually didn't count for a damn thing. I think people are just shocked kus the last time there was an earthquake in England the knights fell off their horses.

Revelation 7:12: "And I looked as he opened the sixth seal, and behold there was a great earthquake, and the sun became as black as sackcloth, and the moon became as blood."

And, the seas boiled, and the skies fell.

Judgment day.

"And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat (and a BJ) for a penny, and three measures of barley (and anal) for a penny; and see thou hurt not the oil (fat slag) and the wine (booze)."

"And when he had opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth beast say, Come (cum) and see (fuk)."

evil shenanigans

earthquakes can happen anywhere. Be glad it was only a 4.3, that might have been able to shake your drink for you but that would be about it. The damage to the buildings was most likely already there and all it took was a little rattle to make things fall away from the main structure.

I was in that one too! I remember my dad waking me up and bringing me under a door frame and telling me I had slept through one of the worst earthquakes to hit the area ever.

Pyro 04-30-2007 10:21 PM

one thing i love about my area

little to no chance of having a natural disaster happening.

Blase 05-01-2007 11:52 AM

California gets it's shake on with all the quakes here. 3.0-3.5's are about once a month or so.

Mr.Buttocks 05-01-2007 12:33 PM

Y'know, if you and I were in an earthquake Blase, I'd hold onto you tightly.

Zoner 05-01-2007 01:28 PM

it was the fat slags
