Fuck I'm depressed now.

This thread is going to be a general Memorial Day thread for Kraut Killer and others who have died in service of their country both past and present to those who lived and served, or who are serving now.

/salute

Wow....I had no idea this happened. Kraut Killer was one funny guy, his posts from the early days of aa.com were legendary. A true man's man. RIP.

Tripper 05-27-2007 10:34 PM

I'm in shock. This is definitely the closest I've been to an Iraq war casualty. He was a very cool guy - I'm glad I knew and liked Kraut Killer, he was a great bloke and he died a hero.
I really don't know what to say this is very sad news, It's terrible.

My hearts and thoughts are with his family...

hahahahhaha, i made the same mistake too at first. Then i called BS, till i reread his post date.

I guess that makes three then, Kraut, PFC. Green, and Judas. (although Judas fought in e-wars rather than in desert wars).

Isn't there someone else serving overseas from here too?

Zoner 05-28-2007 07:44 AM

Man, I'm really at a loss for words.

He was a good guy and a solid forum dweller. He will be missed. R.I.P. cry:

ninty 05-28-2007 07:53 AM

Horrible. Guys like him don't deserve to die so young.

RIP

Jimmy Patterson is in the USMC, I'm not sure if he went to Iraq though.

ninty 05-28-2007 08:20 AM

Made a userbar for anyone who wants to use it. I think this is probably the first confirmed death on this board?

Cheers, I'll keep it under my sig for a while as I really liked the guy. He died doing what he felt he had to do and has my total respect

ninty 05-28-2007 09:22 AM

I should also probably say RIP to all those other soldiers of every country out there who have died in battle for their country or for what they thought was right.

I didn't realize today was Memorial Day in the US, but the Memorial Cup was just played for yesterday in the Canadian Hockey League and won by the Vancouver Giants, so maybe there's a tie in there.

I know a lot of people currently preparing to deploy to Afghanistan in a few months. Very soon I could be hearing of more deaths of people I know.

War isn't cool.

elstatec 05-28-2007 09:41 AM

fuck. rest in peace dude. cant believe it man, that someone from here has died let alone over in Iraq. Really shows you how much a small world it is. Will be missed.

Crazy Canadian 05-28-2007 09:45 AM

RIP god bless.

TonyMontana 05-28-2007 12:59 PM

Damn. At least he left fighting for the country he loved. Utmost respect for anyone who serves their country.

RIP

rudedog 05-28-2007 02:08 PM

Wow, I just got a free chance to jump on to find this.

Thanks for letting us know, stammer.

FYI guys, I'm going to change his rank/title to "Never forget RIP" If there is anyone else I should add to this group please let me know.

Kraut is the only confirmed, but most of us believe that PFC Green and/or Judas have died, one probably in combat, the other doing who knows what.

ninty 05-28-2007 02:29 PM

Well, PFC Green was going Navy. I don't know how many Navy deaths there have been in either of the recent wars, I suppose it also depends on what you're doing in the Navy, but I thought he was going to be stationed on a ship. A lot less dangerous that what KK was doing.

geRV 05-28-2007 02:42 PM

Pretty sad to hear this, KK was a crazy bastard back when MOH:AA was in development but also one for the details like myself, i remember that he had a springfield 03 rifle and was asking 2015 why their ingame model was missing a section at the back of the rifle.

Was always one for mad quotes as well, quick on the trigger with insane comebacks to being flamed and just in general he seemed to have a good sense of humour. Still kinda hard to accept that he died almost a year ago and we're just now hearing of it. As already said no-one thought much of him not posting as he was overseas a lot, doubt anyone thought this would happen. Just raises more questions about people who were regulars here and just semed to have disappeared out of the blue, Judas being one of the main ones. cry:

should get in contact with his brother or what not and send our condolences from all us here.

Simo Häyhä 05-28-2007 03:45 PM

unbelievable...rip kk

Arkan 05-28-2007 04:23 PM

That totally sucks. I considered KK a friend and used to compliment him on his Mustang. We used to talk Ford stuff since i had the Fairlane and was building a Shelby Coupe.

R.I.P. to a well respected forum friend. You'll be missed.

BlackJackal 05-28-2007 10:04 PM

wow, RIP man. I had no idea he was in Iraq. I sorta remember him talking about his Afghanistan deployment and he didn't really see much combat. this really hits home, especially since i was at arlington several weeks ago and had no idea. i wish i could have seen his grave if you could get to it

Coleman 05-28-2007 10:58 PM

sucks. cool guy.
